Orang Utan Island Day Tour (Bukit Merah)

The whole trip was wonderful, from the drive to and from our hotel, to Orang Utan Island, to lunch and the Temple. Our driver and guide was absolutely brilliant. We had a great time conversing with him. Excellent ambassador for your company

My driver, Albinhar picked me up promptly as planned and drove me the 2.5 hours to the boat
Had breakfast there and then short ride to the island
The guide at the island was very knowledgable about all the orangutans
They are in different groups with very large enclosures and so there is no guarantee that you will see them although I was fortunate to see about 10 - some quite close up
We spent about an hour on the island before being taken back
Visited an ancient temple, lunch and then back to Kuala Lumpur
Pleased to support the work they are doing on the island

How can you advertise this without disclosing you will drive for 8hours in a car to spend one hour with the Orang Utan? That is very important information you deliberately left out for the tourist. Very disappointed with lack of transparency.

Highly recommend a visit to the Orangutan Island tour. Its a short and convenient stopover on the way to Penang (allow for 2 hours including ferry to the island).

This is not a zoo - it is a conservation park and an excellent educational experience seeing Orangutan's roaming in 15 acres in their natural habitat.

Our guide was very informative and helpful. Definitely recommend
