The Estate is located in Nassau Valley in the parish of St. Elizabeth, on Jamaica’s South Coast.
If you like rum, you will have a great time on this tour – guaranteed! The guides are very knowledgeable, funny and engaging.
NB: This is only for the transportation to and from the attraction, once you’re on site there will be a entrance fee of $30 per person for the tour

Note it’s a good 2hours from Negril so best to combine with YS falls and:or black river crocs

Wow & wonderful experience! Not a tour for people with young children. This excursion was booked through Chukka as part of a package (we'd definitely recommend hiring a driver or booking as part of a package so as not to drive). Be prepared to travel 2 hours outside of town to view this estate. It is well worth the drive. Be prepared for windy roads & fast travel. Plan accordingly with snacks & water as there will only be local roadside stands to purchase items from. However, the estate is fantastic & the tour is very informative. We'd definitely recommend as it is a great day trip.

I did a private tour because they did not have one with the group I paid almost $600. The personal driver was great but the tour was short. The taste of the rum was three drops of Appleton rum and is very short and not worth the money.

Unlimited free drinks on arrival was a welcome surprise! Great to see a few peacocks.
The Bad
Nothing - our guide Peter was amazing, there was an odd smell walking around but that is just the waste and normal as part of the rum making process

A very well organised and pleasant tour of Appleton Rum Estate... even though I don't drink, we all found this tour fantastic... we were captivated by the tour guide who told the story of how it all came to be...
Not for everyone, but we loved it.
Very hot day as expected, so dress appropriately and plenty of water.

Had an excellent time, and out driver , Damar was great. The estate is a bit of the drive from the hotel, but it's enjoyable as you get too see a good amount of southern Jamaica.

The Appleton Estate Tour is one of those things that you must do when visiting Jamaica.
We were staying in Negril and paid for a private tour with our TUI representative Kerrie Ann.
The drive to the Appleton Estate was interesting and we received a very warm welcome. Whilst we waited in reception we were offered a drink and I had rum with ginger beer. It was delicious.
Our tour guide took us around the site explaining the rum making process and she was able to answer all of the questions.
We finished with a guided tasting of three rums. It was fabulous.
There is a shop that sells rum, t-shirts, caps and other souvenirs.
