Cheetahs are the fastest land animal in the world. They are also one of the most endangered big cats due to, among other factors, loss of habitat.
The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre (formerly De Wildt Cheetah Centre) prides itself on its proactive approach to the research and conservation of these beautiful animals. Daily guided tours take visitors through several enclosures where they can view several species, including cheetah, King Cheetah, African wild dog, caracal, and vultures. Some tours offer the opportunity to watch a jaw-dropping “cheetah run”, and guests are able help funding the non-profit organization by “adopting” one of the animals.

Communication was great. Benale showed up excited for the day. He knew a lot about the cities and townships and once we arrived he was a great companion.
It is clear that the center cares deeply for the animals and is really trying to improve the loss of cheetahs as well as wild dogs.
This was a great day.

The cheetah park was amazing and we had two excellent hours of truck back tour. We saw around 10 cheetahs and they are literally right in front of you. They mieo mieo instead of roar which made you feel so cute. It was absolutely worthwhile the trip.
Our guide with nickname Mo is such a gentlemen. He is more than professional in tourist but also warmhearted in supporting the local charity and children welfare. He himself is a great example of learning and working hard to achieve better life. Wish him even better in the future.
Definitely recommended.

They are doing good work here saving wildlife. However, they say they have 80 cheetah and they showed us only 4 ( among other animals). Somewhat disappointing

It was a very quick tour of less than an hour compared to the 4 hours mentioned on the website. The price I find is exaggerated for the service provided (ultimately more expensive for a "zoo").

Loved this sanctuary. Love that they don't sell to private buyers. All the animals looked really healthy. The guide and his assistant were phenomenal. I watched the cheetah run as well as to the tour. The drive over with Steven was comfy, convenient and as a solo traveler, I felt safe.

Richard was fantastic - such a friendly person and wealth of information. I highly recommend using his tour company for anything in SA. The Cheetah Centre is terrific too - they are doing such an important job helping to save cheetahs and return them to the wild. They are magnificent. I totally loved the centre. As a bonus, with some time to spare, Richard took us to the Montecasino Bird gardens which was also amazing - so many bird and other wildlife in excellent conditions and spacious enclosures and aviaries - also highly recommended. I thoughroughly enjoy the day.
