Une plongée dans la passé très intéressante mais les prix des billets ont explosé, si vous avez un guide papier récent ne vous fiez pas au prix du guide. En juin 2024 l accès à Sainte Sophie vous coûtera 25 Euros.

Nice place to see and to read the historical change of church to the mosque, and that was the reverse of what happened in Spain where mosques changed to churches.

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque, popularly known as the Blue Mosque, is one of the city’s best-known landmarks. Built between 1603 and 1617 by Sultan Ahmet, the Blue Mosque was the first built outside of Mecca to be constructed with 6 minarets.

Le prix prohibitif de la visite alors que toutes les mosquées d'Istanbul sont gratuites et du musée, l'impossibilité de rentrer dans la mosquée

Huge queues and very expensive. We bought a ticket that includes the museum on the Hippodrone; this museum is certainly to be recommended and tells the complicated history very well. When you finally gets in to the church itself , one is limited to the first floor .... the ground floor is only for practising moslems. The aspect of this huge church built by Christians (50 metres tall) is tremendous but there are signs that some maintenance is required to make internals more respectable.

You must visit this site !! It’s absolutely beautiful !!! The workmanship inside is amazing !! You must however be respectful because you cannot go to the bottom floor unless you’re Muslim and that’s understandable! It’s beautiful

We bought the Instanbul pass for 105 euros, but unfortunately the Hagia Sofia was not included so we paid another 25 euros each to visit it.
We have always wanted to visit Hagia Sofia and I thought it would be the highlight of our Instanbul holiday but it wasn't. The building itself from the outside is magnificent, the problem was that once we got inside, the mosque part, was closed, and we could only visit the upper floor which was basically a 100 meter circuit which could be done in a matter of 5-10 minutes. There were no artifacts to view, there was next to no information about its history, the walls were sparse with a few heavily eroded icons.
What was really upsetting was that in the next building was the Agia Sofia musuem, which was another 25 euros which, again, was not included in the Instanbul Pass , and we didn't go to.

Haiga Sofia is a must-see place being in ancient Constantinople, and continues to write its history, now they charge admission and one, if you do not profess the Islamic Faith, can access the museum on the second floor, very well curated and with a very complete to explain and even to make augmented reality (AR).
