We had a truly amazing time on this tour. Our guide was Patricia and our driver Ivan who both did their absolute best to make the journey to and from Montenegro as comfortable as possible.

DANGER!!!! Beware of this agency, they are spreading very big nationalist propaganda against Montenegro. The tourist guide(Andrija) is a mentally unstable and sick person. I was very afraid of him. I reported it to the agency, they did the same as their guide. Very unpleasant and aggressive owner!!!

We went with select Dubrovnik to Perast, Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. We got a boat from perast to lady of the rocks and then onto Kotor which broke up the bus journey with incredible views along the way. I couldn’t recommend it more and value for money.
Our tour guide Patricia was a gem. She was so enthusiastic all the way through. We were stopped at border control for 2 hours on the way home due to an IT issue but with Patricia and Ivan the bus driver, they kept our spirits high so we’d never forget a memorable day.

I was sceptical about this trip given the neutral reviews other people had said about the trip, and the mention of long wait at the borders.
I’m glad I took the risk.
I booked the trip on Sunday afternoon, the trip was for the next day - Monday.
The pickup was for 7.00am near the accommodation. I was there at 6.50am
They arrived at 6.57am. Other people were picked up en route to Montenegro.
Air conditioned coach, about 30 people on board - last seats unoccupied.
Both driver and the female guide were professional.
A very nice and kind guide with a big smile on the face - sorry for forgetting her name.
Crossing at the border was smooth- under 40mins in, and under 30mins out. I enjoyed the boat ride from Perast to Kotor - about 40mins taking in the beautiful scenery.
Everyone on the coach comported themselves.
We got back to lapad, last drop off, at 6pm, an hour earlier than expected.
Their price is competitive.
Do not hesitate if you have the chance to go on this trip with Select Team via Tripadvisor.
Thank you to the team.

A fabulous trip to explore somewhere new! Your guide was excellent and full of knowledge! Spoke clear as well so could hear! Tour guide in Kotor was always informative! Border crossings weren’t too bad either!

We had Luka (spelling may be wrong) as our tour guide and driver. My boyfriend said his favorite part of the trip wasn't the stops we made but rather the stories from Luka along the way. We had a tumultuous day in a 'everything that can go wrong will go wrong' type of way, but his honesty and humor with the bumps in the road made it enjoyable. I don't think the tour would have been worth it with almost any other guide, but we got very lucky!

A bit of a game of two halves really. The places we visited were absolutely stunning but the transport was pretty chaotic. Our tour guide seemed to be dictated to by an extremely inflexible driver who made it very clear he wouldn't stand for any lateness. He left two of the group behind at the first refreshment stop (which the guide only realised after carrying out a headcount after we'd set off) and we wasted 25 minutes of an already tight itinerary going back for them. We set off for a second time and whizzed past various places of interest that the guide gave us a LOT of information about as we passed.

The boat trip to Kotor was fabulous - the guide (not our tour guide) was very engaging and we learned a lot of interesting things about Montenegro. Kotor Old Town was beautiful - very picturesque and full of charm. There was an optional 30 minute walking tour but we decided to get food and explore ourselves.

On the return we got held up at the border for over an hour and a half. Our guide advised that we could be there for anything up to four hours, maybe longer. It would have been useful to have known this prior to departing as we could have bought extra refreshments (there's obviously nothing at border control apart from a Trainspotting-esque portaloo). Our guide then proceeded to tell us about all the other nice trips we could have gone on where there wouldn't be delays, and the best days for taking the trip we were on (not a Wednesday which is the day we'd chosen).

Two of the group (the same two who'd got left behind earlier) decided they'd had enough and left the bus and walked through border control to make their own way home. When we finally made it through border control, the bus driver took great delight in papping his horn at them as we passed them walking on the road.

The trip ended with five of us being called to exit the bus and having to get in a taxi to take us the last five minutes of our journey. Apparently our bus driver had decided he wasn't going to drive the bus to our pick up point from the morning as the road was too narrow. All in all, the travelling was pretty farcical and not the best experience I've ever had.

Perfect from start to finish. Picked up 7.30am above Hotel Astarea and the trip did exactly what it said on the tin. Everything ran like clockwork at every stop point ( and therefore start point). Boat was waiting at the lady of the rocks and we got 40 mins in Pestar after. Kotor Old Town started with a 30 minute guided tour... funny and knowledgeable. Then 2 hours 30 mins to wander which was about right. We were lucky 18 on the trip so a small air conditioned bus and 10 mins through customs ONLY both ways.

Kotor was an amazing city to see so highly recommend. Perast and the island lady of the rocks were okay but the visit was very quick (1 hour in total for both places) and there is not much to do. The guide, Maria, gave some great information about the political and economical climate of Croatia and Montenegro but didn’t interact with the group, wasn’t very friendly and didn’t want to encourage questions. The Montenegro tour guide was much more friendly but gave a quick tour of all the monuments in 30 mins. The air conditioning on the minibus didn’t work very well on the way back and that day it was 34C. The drive itself was smooth (2 hours in total each way) and we didn’t wait too long at the border. We started the tour with 6 people but another group from the same company had a car accident and so they joined our group making us 12 in all. Being a small group there was friendly interaction between travellers but not with the main Kotor guide which was a shame. Overall a good tour but could be better and is quite expensive for what it is.

Had an extra day in Dubrovnik before Dalmation Island Cruise.

Decided to take a bus tour to spend the day in Montenegro.

With this bus tour you start out early around 6:30 am and pick up other passengers throughout Dubrovnik before you set out for Montenegro. Your guide shares history and culture as you drive past the Adriatic Sea and Dubrovnik Riviera. The time to get to border is about an hour.

Crossing into Montenegro, you have to wait about 30-40 minutes. Once through the border the bus will stop at a small mall for a restroom break for 20 minutes.

Once back on the bus its another hour or so to to reach the Bay of Kotor in which we stopped in the town of Perast. You spend about 45 minutes in Perast which is a very small seaside village with not a whole lot to do.

After Perast you take a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks to see its baroque church. You spend another 30 minutes on this island which is a very small with not a whole lot to do.

After Our Lady of the Rocks you take a 30 minute boat ride to Kotor for a walking tour of its historic churches. Here you have a three hours to enjoy free time to have lunch and explore the cobblestone streets.

The bus ride there and back is long due to the long time at the border so be prepared to time your one restroom break since there is no restroom on bus.

I could have skipped the stops at Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks. It would be nice if there was a direct bus and just spent the day in Kotor.
