Discover the Mexican History through its walls
In this experience, you will have the chance to visit some of the most representatives public buildings in Mexico City that holds the most outstanding murals from Mexico. We will walk through the halls of The National Palace, San Ildefonso College, Secretary of Public Education and more… We will testify in an unique way some of the masterpieces of Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros.
During this experience you will be able to see each one of the murals portraying different historical landscapes of Mexico. In addition, you will be able to enjoy the unique architecture of every place. All paths are full of singularity because of the hidden ins and outs this places have for you.
Depending on availability, we will visit 3 important locations per tour.

Warrior was an excellent guide, he will take you to some excellent murals. In a way, the fact that the murals are in places that are of everyday use and not galleries, really drives the point home about WHY the murals were painted in the first place. Warrior will of course explain why and he will answer pretty much any question with knowledge.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the murals, the artists, and Mexican history. We requested a change to the itinerary, which our guide gladly accommodated, to go to Bellas Artes.

We had a wonderful time exploring Mexico City on foot. Our guide David is very knowledgable and gracious. He took us to locations off the beaten path - the murals in the market was a gem. The tour ended at the famous Palacio de Bellas Artes, where many 'textbook examples' are housed under one roof. It was a special experience to learn about 20th century Mexico through the murals, rather than reading from history books. Highly recommend!

We had the best guide in a long time, the Warrior, who was smart, entertaining, and knew his subject cold. Would recommend the tour highly. It opens the door to muralism and the significance of the art form to Mexican culture through the present. Diego Rivera et al and their work are essential to understanding how the country struggled and is still struggling to right past and present wrongs that continue to hold back Mexico. The Warrior explained it all!

Had several hours touring the murals with Ulises (Warrior) as our guide. His knowledge of culture, history and art is exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit through the murals of Mexico City, especially those in the Abelardo Rodriguez Market and in the Ministry of Education. Highly Recommend!

Our tour guide, Ulisses with Estacion Mexico, was great. I learned so much and he took us to murals that I never would be able to find on my own! I had been to Mexico City the year before and had gone to the Secretary of Education building before but with a guide it was a totally new experience. He also showed us areas of the building that I didn't know about! This was a great tour and I'm looking forward to doing another tour with the Estacion Mexico team for the next visit!!

This tour was absolutely incredible! I wasn't sure about attending after visiting so many museums solo- but I'm so glad I did. David was my tour guide, and was knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful in his explanations of the murals. Our time together flew by and I got to see murals I wouldn't have had a chance to see otherwise. David's clearly done extensive research on the artists, history, and the murals themselves. What he shared helped bring context to other art and pieces I had seen and I loved learning about the period of muralism in Mexico and the meaning behind each piece we looked at. Not only did David provide thorough explanations, he also took time to answer my questions and hear my own interpretations of what we were seeing. Plus he gave me some other great local recommendations. I highly recommend this tour and David as your guide!!

I took a tour with David on my second day in Mexico City. I had learnt a little about Mexican muralism many years ago at university so I wanted to see the murals as part of my visit. This tour was perfect for that, I also learnt a lot about the history of the city and the country. The tour goes to three sites depending on what is open, as some of the famous murals are in public buildings/working markets. I was given a choice of the third stop, and chose to go to the Museo Mural Diego Rivera, where my guide explained the mural ‘Sueño de una Tarde Dominical en la Alameda Central’ in detail with context from Mexican history. He also took me to the Alameda itself on the way so that I could better understand what is depicted in the mural.

The tour was conducted by a guide whose knowledge and passion for the material was amazing. The guide took ample time to visit each area and allowed questions and knew the answers to almost all questions asked. Very informative and enjoyable.

David was a wonderful tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable not only about Diego Rivera and other muralists, but he gave us a great over view of the history of Mexico. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and encouraged us to ask questions as we went along. There were 5 of us and we all agreed this was the best tour of our trip.
