Learning about the history of Old Montreal was awesome. The tour guide made the experience so interesting and I would definitely recommend this to anybody that likes to explore places when travelling AND who likes eating some good food.

Fun guide and good food. We walked, ate a lot of food, and saw the old part of Montreal. Liked it so much, we went back to view on our own the next day.

Wonderful way to experience Old Montreal. We’ve been to the city several times previously but experienced this part of it in a far more in depth and experiential way. Laura our tour guide was fantastic - super knowledgeable and it’s clear she loves her work and wants guests to love and enjoy her city. Top notch - would highly recommend - great use of 3 hours!

The food tour did not disappoint, as we look to food tours as a cultural and historical experience. Ronny, our tour guide, was well versed in both and provided as much detail as we could bear. Additionally, he is very knowledgeable about probably all the restaurants in Montreal, it would seem. He provided us many recommendations of other restaurants, stopped at important sites and suggested other places to visit. This particular food tour hit the classic food scene in Montreal, with stops for bagels (apparently 80% of all bagels here are sesame bagels), a vegetarian taco (to highlight the growing diversity here), poutine (apparently so named after a Quebec/French word for mess or alternatively, from the phrase, "'Put in (poutine)' all this stuff on top of my french fries," a market for a small charcuterie of local cheeses and cured meat, a bakery for a cannele, and finally a microbrewery (where the cannele is served with an ale). Thirsty souls can stay longer at the brewery to rest their legs and replenish vital fluids.

Remmy was a very knowledgeable guide. And really fun and engaging! There was plenty of food for us to consume and we were very full by the end of it. Would highly recommend for someone else to do it, especially if you want to get the lay of the land of old Montreal.
