On this tour you will be able to connect with an agricultural town, learn how the country people work, and of course learn about part of the coffee processes, where the coffee grower is an expert and will know how to connect with nature.
You will know the processes of the farm, from which fertilizers are used, the treatment of the plants and you will live the experience with a local coffee grower.
It will be explained how to make an ideal cup of coffee and you will learn how it is harvested within the area. You will learn to make your ideal cup and you will drink coffee 100% made by coffee growers in the area.

It is an amazing way to immerse locally and travel Antigua in a meaningful way. We visited an actual coffee farm in the next city, the host is sincere and explains everything about his 2nd generation coffee farm. He is a good host and of course the coffee tastes so much better after learning how all the coffee plants are hand-watered, and all the hard work that goes behind it.

Our coffee plantation tour was a delightful surprise. We were expecting a van, but a pick-up truck showed up instead! Our guide, Baudillio, treated us to an in-depth, private tour of his family plantation and then took us home to tell us more about the coffee-making process. He even offered us freshly baked tortillas! A delight!

An absolutely fantastic experience with a local coffee grower and roaster!
Our first hour was spent on our guide’s farm, where I learned about the coffee growing process and got to pick some coffee beans. The second hour we went to our guide’s home where we sampled a few of the coffee varietals and learned about the roasting and brewing process.
Baudilio, our guide, was very warm and friendly. He speaks English well and provides transportation to and from the farm. His wife provided a delicious snack for the experience.
I highly recommend this experience - it was a highlight of my trip to Guatemala! Pro tip: they sell coffee that was tasted, so remember to bring cash.

This tour was amazing! We learned so much about how coffee is made from bean to cup. The tour leader, Baudillo, is also the owner of the coffee farm and very knowledgeable about his craft. The tour starts at your hotel where Baudillo provides transportation to one of his coffee farms. Once you are at the coffee farm Baudillo explains every step of the coffee production. I was amazed at how much work and care goes into coffee production and have a new found respect for the coffee farmers of the world. My wife and I had a ton of questions and Baudillo was very kind in taking the time answer each and every one of them. Baudillo's English is good, definitely better than our Spanish. The first part of the tour is at the farm, which is beautiful by the way, where you learn all about the growing side of coffee. The second part is at Baudillo's home where you are treated to a fantastic coffee tasting experience. Baudillo uses a variety of different methods for coffee brewing and takes times to explain each one of them and how they complement each of the different coffee varieties. While this is happening, Baudillo's wife brings over some delicious homemade tortillas and beans for the perfect snack! At the end of the tasting experience you have the opportunity to purchase some of Baudillo's very own beans so be sure to bring cash because the prices are very reasonable and you won't want to miss out.
