The tour is good. People conducting it are good. It is bilingual (English/spanish) but it’s the same person repeating the info twice. Tour started 7am for pick up time and we got dropped off past 9, so about ~14 hours…could be shorter by 2-3 hours. Chichen itza is main attraction and the Cenotes is Hubiku…it’s solid. The last leg of the trip to the town Villadoid is a bit rushed and possibly could do without (town seems fine/historic) but it’s 30 min to explore a touristy shop area so kind of unnecessary. The main reason it has 3 stars is because of the accommodation- we were seated towards the back of the bus and it smelled like urine/feces towards the back of the bus- meaning it was not clean/sanitized and they STILL allowed ppl to use it making it even worse (even though they acknowledged whatever waste goes in the bathroom travels with us and to use it for emergencies only)!! This made the whole experience frustrating as we had to travel like this back and forth!!

This was an awesome tour! Tony is an excellent knowledgeable tour guide. He will explain about the Mayan people. Just be prepared, if coming from Cozumel Island. To have a 18 hour day as you will need to take the ferry over and above the tour.

The cenote and the chicken Itzá must see places! The guide was great. BUT we felt it was very very long day! From 0700am to 2230pm!!!
I know it was going to be a long day but no breakfast or coffee in the morning! There was lunch at about 1300 at the cenote! Not even stopped for a comfort break. The hotel didn’t provide a breakfast snack box! However at the Chichen itza we arrived in the middle of the day when it was the hottest time of the day; standing around listening to our very knowledgable guide is hard as there was no shade…..smeltingly hot. I just wanted to get back in the coach. Lastly if the groups were smaller a smaller bus perhaps the tour would be quicker, ie not16 hours in total. As we were knackered and the restaurant in the hotel had closed and we were too tired to go out to get food. I given a detailed account as I just expected it planned better with more consideration as we had paid a considerable amount to experience this excursion. So that was disappointing!!!! We should go to the chichen itza when it not the hottest time of the day!!!

Wendy, Gustavo and Martin best team ever, very long trip but everything went as planned and punctuality was amazing. The only advice would like to give is at least one bottle of free water, at lunch we had to pay for water. The rest was fun highly recommend this company.

- Could book this trip on short notice after another company cancelled
- Tour guide knowledgeable
- Cenote was beautiful
- Chichen Itza was a great place to see and learn about

Cons
- Whole trip felt like a cash grab
- Spent 2 hours on the bus driving the wrong direction picking up and dropping people off on various stops. I understand pick ups but it was picking up for different locations or tours and dropping them off as well. I was staying in Playacar so hardly somewhere remote.
- Took 4 hours to get to first destination
- Tour guide offered to sell Mayan calendars before going to the cenote. I asked what they get and he was reluctant to share anything but the parchment. He then said you're paying for all the time it takes them to calculate and how much work it is, as if they dont just print something pre prepared and calculate online. I lost trust at this point.
- Tour guide tried to sell overpriced biodegradable sunscreen and bug spray on the bus to protect the cenote. He said it was a good price. He didn't mention you need to shower before the cenote anyway so it didn't matter about the sunscreen.
- we were told we would go to chichen itza in the afternoon as it takes the longest time and we wouldn't have time for lunch if we went in the morning.
- Cenote was an absolute tourist trap. The cenote itself was nice but the property just had overpriced everything. The tequila was $170 AUD.
- No one was allowed into the cenote until they went into the souvenir shop for some time to shop.
- Included lunch was below average and very limited selection of food. For some reason some people had drinks included and others didn't. This was not clear on the ticket that no drinking water would be provided at any point in the day. Juices and water and other drinks at lunch were locked away and you had to pay extra for these during lunch. I understand needing to buy soft drink and alcohol but some drink should be provided with lunch. There was no option when I bought the ticket to include any drinks. This just felt like another cash grab.
- we were at the cenote for 2 hours which was way too long and I couldn't wait to leave.
- on the bus the guide spoke in both Spanish and English but one sentence each and all the jumping around was hard at times to follow. It felt it would make more sense to split the tours into English and Spanish and it would be more enjoyable but this just felt like they were trying to maximise profit and minimise resources at the expense of the customer.
- I was left hungry as lunch was not good and I had missed breakfast at my hotel because I had to leave so early. I also had no liquids as I didn't want to contribute to the cash grab at the cenote until chichen itza in the afternoon.
- Chichen itza we went in the afternoon the hottest part of the day. It was good but we only had 30 minutes of free time, and about an hour and a half total including the tour. It was as touristy as expected but I could finally get a drink and at least there was different storeholders. It felt rushed here.
- Vallidolid was a short trip on the way back and was just a photo stop.
- got back to the hotel at 9pm and absolutely starving. Total 14 hour day.
- did not see to Mayan ceremony or other things outlined in description.

It was a lovely experience! Lots of shopping at the ruins. We had a charter bus that made transportation comfy. Bring plenty of water, snacks and money. Ismael was very knowledgable and funny. The driver drove us safely around. Prepare for a very long day!!

This was such a lovely day from start to finish. Marco was very informative and genuinely cared about us all enjoying ourselves. Chichen Itza was spectacular. Validoid was absolutely stunning and the cenote was mind blowing. Very reasonably priced and absolutely worth it. Would definitely recommend this trip! Thanks Marco.

Overall, an enjoyable tour.

The lunch to start waa fine, but I felt we spent too long hanging around the gift shop waiting to eat.

The Mayan welcome was interesting but the "private message" was just them trying to sell you a statue for health of your family or some such. (mind you if my family now all die then clearly i angered the gods)

Tour at chitchen itza was a good length as it was too hot to stand around for too long trying to listen. Was plenty of time to see it all.

The cenote could have done with more time. The changing room and lockers are at the bottom but you pay for the lockers at the top. Lot of time wasted and could only pay with cash and they seemed ill prepared for their own system. Cenote itself was fantastic.

Valladolid was fine but we only had 25 minutes there to look at a square and a church.

Our host on the bus gave us lots of information so knew his stuff. Spoke fast switching well between English and Spanish.

Cold water and beer was available for purchase on the bus. They included with the deluxe, which apparently I paid for and didn't realise. Still not sure what the delux package included.

Overall a good tour if you are based in Playa del Carmen or Tulum, which is why I chose it.
