2. Hakone Ropeway

3. Owaku-dani Valley
The area around the crater created by the last eruption of Mt. Hakone, which occurred roughly 3000 years ago, is known as Owakudani. • In the event of the cruise or ropeway is not operating (due to suspension of service, bad weather, traffic jam, etc.) there will be NO REFUND, and we will take you to alternative facilities.
• If Mt. Fuji 5th station is closed or impassable, the course will be changed to Mt. Fuji 4th station or Oshino Hakkai.
• If the Hakone Ropeway or Lake Ashinoko cruise cannot be boarded due to strong winds, etc., we will take you to alternative facilities around the Hakone Area.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Infants are free provided they do not occupy a seat
• The tour is subject to change in case of bad weather conditions or traffic

Very good tour. We had a clear day, we got very lucky and it was incredible. Breath-taking views all around mt. Fuji and great food. Hiro was very nice and explained fun facts to us along the way. If you can get a cleat forecast, it's one of the best tours to do from Tokyo.

It was a great trip. We were lucky mount Fuji was visible and in the sun all day long which is not too common. The super friendly host spoke English very well. The bus driver drove us safe and smooth around.

For the money, you can’t do much better! The lunch stop was incredible, the food really was top-notch and the restaurant was really neat! We had ample time at each stop and there wasn’t a ton of walking, so even people who have minor mobility issues shouldn’t have a problem on this tour. The boat ride was even long enough.

We didn’t get the chance to go to the Mt Fuji 5th stop because of snow, but they took us to the melt pools instead, which are clean enough to drink from! It was definitely on the touristy side, but all in all a good outing and we had a great time.

Maiyuki was a great guide and cared very much about making sure we were all accounted for and knew where to go. She gave us some background on where we were going and what we were doing, but I wouldn’t call it a tour so much as a sightseeing trip, so be prepared for that! She was incredibly accommodating if we needed her to help translate or take pictures.

No trash and no bathrooms on the bus. Trash cans on the tour were few and far between, so bring a way to carry any garbage you create during the day. You can bring snacks as long as they aren’t creamy or melty and eat them on the bus. It is a long day, so bring snacks if 6 hours is a long time for you to go between meals. If you bring a portable water bottle and end up visiting the melt pools/springs, you can fill them with the water there! All activities, travel, and lunch are included, but bring extra money for purchasing any alcoholic beverages during lunch, souvenirs, drinks, and snacks.

This was the highlight of my 16 day trip to Japan. The tour guide was lovely and friendly and the little restaurant that I stopped at for the lunch package I bought was delicious and gave me a chance to try some authentic food! Words cannot describe how beautiful oshino hakkai was and hakone was as equally beautiful! It was amazing to go up to an active volcano (be sure to eat the black eggs cooked in the hot springs) Definitely recommend if your travelling solo or with a group! Loved every second of it!
