We had an incredible time in Capri with our guide Tiziana! Her sense of humor and deep local knowledge allowed us to make the most of our day on this stunning island. Marcella was a great guide and definite A+. Once we arrived in Capri, took a wild ride in a mini bus to the Blue Grotto. It was well over an hour wait on stairs in the hot sun to then get into a very small boat to enter the cave. People who arrived by boats seemed to have shorter waits to get entry. The grotto was very impressive, but you don’t get much time inside and also no one warned us that we might get completely drenched. Our boatman ill-timed our exit from the cave and a large wave hit us, soaking us and ruining our camera. There is no place to stow anything once you are in line but it looked like there were lockers at top loading area. After the grotto, we went to Anacapri for about 2 hours. We rode the chair lift to the top which was cool (ticket costs extra - 14euro each), with spectacular views. Would not recommend if you have a fear of heights, though the chair itself never gets really high off the ground. Then took mini bus to Capri where we were given another hour to explore. Crowded everywhere but that was expected. If you are a shopper, this tour gives you time for that. Otherwise, not much to do but look at the views or eat/drink. We did not ride the funicular down like the tour description but rather went back to the marina on the mini bus. We also thought that Mamma Mia road was from movie scenes but that is just what the locals call it, there was no relation to the movie. Also from tour pictures, it appears that you can swim in the Blue Grotto, but it is actually prohibited to swim there.

It was amazing! Michele was the best! The tour offered stunning views, excellent recommendations, and seamless logistics. I would recommend this to anyone looking to maximize their time on the island and visit all the main attractions without any stress.

Luigi was hands down the best!! I love that he always referred to his group as “family”, and he was both knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. He set us up in the best position to make sure we could get into Blue Grotto, as well as arranged a secondary surprise boat tour so we could experience Capri from the water. Great tour, awesome day, and fabulous guide!!

The Blue Grotto was amazing, and Capri is absolutely beautiful. Marcella was an exceptional guide! The shopping and food were fantastic, and the chairlift was our favorite part. Don’t miss this tour!
