The Barra tasting plate was delicious also,especially the battered barra huge fillet of yumminess

What an awesome experience. We enjoyed every part of the day. The tour, catching a barra and the food. Credit to our guide Price! He was informative and knowledgeable and is a credit to the farm. We learnt so much. Thanks for a cool experience.

Great activity for the whole family. The gents at the farm were very passionate about their fish and their farm. Amazing to start the experience with a journey around the farm seeing how the fish use water from the Daintree to then sitting down and tasting the freshest Barra to then being armed with a rod and attempting a fish in a pond of 8000! great way to spend 3 hours when in Port Douglas.

Excellent tour of the farm. Learned a lot and got to see lots of fish like albino and gold barramundi. Tasting platter is a nice lunch. Fishing was fun and they make sure u catch something so u can get a photo. Well worth the tour, food and fishing.

We went on the farm tour which was amazing. Simon was extremely knowledgeable and able to give us a huge insight to sustainable Barra farming and the catch and release part of the day was great fun.

We took our three kids here (3, 6 and 9yo) and they had an absolute ball! We all got to catch a Barra and get photos before we went on an interesting and educational guided tour of the farm. To finish the experience we got to sample Barramundi cooked four ways which was absolutely delicious!
I highly recommend for families of all ages and fishing abilities.

Such a great informative tour. We got hotel pick up in a clean air conditioned van. Abbie was our driver and was so friendly. Gave us great information on the way to the Farm and stopped at a couple of spots of interest on the way - So Good! At the Farm after the into for safety and what we can expect, Michael took us around the farm on a fantastic guided tour. Michael was engaging, funny and really informative. We then got to fish for Barra - what an experience. It is all catch and release and I bagged myself two! Such a lot of fun and knowing the fish were safely put back. We had a beautiful lunch of Barramundi and chips cooked to perfection! Then off to go fishing for the “Big one” Staff were on hand for support and encouragement and again caught a “Monster” in the main pond. Delivered safely home again to our hotel with Abbie. Totally recommend a fun day out. All staff were great but special thanks to Michael and Abbie. Great to see HookABarra are keeping a fabulous sustainable farm and keeping the money and the fish real in Australia.

What a great experience. We learnt so much about barramundi farming thanks to our amazing guide Simon. The tour included a tasting platter which was delicious. Would highly recommend and we will be back!
