Excellent day tour if you have limited time in Kigali! Great day going around to the memorial, mt Kigali, art gallery, market, etc. Included a tasty buffet lunch with typical Rwandan cuisine. Special thanks to our guide Jonathan who made the day enjoyable!

I enjoyed the experience. The tour guide was polite, kind and patient. I enjoyed Kigali city tour, historic places, Mt Kigali and much more. I will be considering a safari next time with this company. I highly recommend this experience. Good customer care. Cheers.

Today was one of the most moving days for me. I was not sure what to expect in coming to Rwanda, and I knew I wanted to come to support a friend who survived the genocide 30Ys ago: I had a day alone to explore Kigali b4 mtg him in his village tomorrow. My day with Justin was so far beyond. We started with the history of Rwanda pre and into colonial times & then moved to the genocide memorial. The level of tragedy is unconscionable but what impacted me most is seeing how the country has healed and created a very different country today. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Justin was the best - humble, gentle, knowledgeable & very open. Learning his own story along side seeing the impact and aftermath of that kind of violence and how the country came together is a model for all of in these times.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Kigali. Fiacre, Tina and the silverbird tours were fantastic. They ensured that we had a great time from the moment we arrived our hotel till we got to the airport to head back home. It wasn’t just driving around but the knowledge, information and advice on the best way to explore the city was spot on! We cannot wait to be back. We are already singing their praises to all our friends and family who want to visit Rwanda.

I had very few days in Kigali and to be able to see as much as possible I contacted Silverbird Tours. They replied fast in e-mail and gave me all the information I needed before going.
On the day of the tour company came exactly on time to my hotel. The driver Justin was very nice to travel with and he gave me the chance to see and do exactly what I wanted to.
Without the conpany and the driver I would not had the chance to see and experience so much of Kigali.
Wonderful service!

Our guide, Jonathan was excellent. Very knowledgable, flexible, cheerful and a great conversationalist. His driving was also good and we spent a really enjoyable day exploring the city. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family!

Genocide, memorial and museum was a not miss, Driver was friendly, nice lunch with local food. Great way to try to understand the genocide, and how colonialism impacted the country.

Jonathan Rukundo is an outstanding guide. We had him for two excursions Kigali City tour and Lake Kivu. He is punctual, polite, a safe driver and speaks excellent English. Since we had already seen the Genocide Memorial and museum, we were able to customize our day to meet our desires. We started at the Kandt House and learned of the early history of colonialism in the country from the 1880-1930’s. The guide there was very informative and patient. The site is a must see for anyone interested in the history of this country. We went on to see some housing developments- Bwiza Riverside homes is an amazing project in collaboration with private African developers and the Rwanda government. It is building affordable housing that is environmentally sustainable and is educating the students about construction.

We then stopped in downtown to do some personal shopping prior to going to lunch at Sundowner that is a local buffet with excellent food and service.

We drove around the government district, embassy row, and on to see the Rebero community of large private homes and then the New Vision city planned community.

Our last stop was the very large Kimiroko market where he led us to find exactly what we needed while also getting the flavor of the place.

We love Kigali and will return. We will definitely request Jonathan next time.

Justin was our driver and tour guide for the day, and he was quite resourceful indeed! We (party of 4) were picked up promptly from our hotel, and went through the day’s itinerary smoothly, getting to see most of the important sites in Kigali. We visited the Kigali genocide memorial (a recommended tour start point!)… and it helped to keep the right perspective throughout the tour and appreciate the beauty of the people of Rwanda! We even visited the local market and Justin was a good support with our shopping and our haggling with the vendors! Once we let him know our preferred cuisine, he took us to a nice restaurant for lunch and the food was very tasty… the kids loved it! (See attached photo of the restaurant). Even with the tour hours fully exhausted, Justin insisted that we had to see the city from the Ribeiro high view point. That was one of the most breathtaking views I have seen in a longtime! I have given silverbird tours a 5 star review for given my family and I a lovely introduction to Kigali. Highly recommend!
