Hana was very punctual, professional, and she provided great conversation. The show itself was amazing & entertaining. Since it's a local show, don't expect English, but you won't need it. It's comical and easy to follow, just sit back and enjoy. The boat dinner was really good as well, the transportation was very efficient. Overall great trip, once again, thanks Hana.

A tame experience.
Water puppet show was canceled due to a River Festival. The guide dropped us off at the boat where we and another guest had to figure out the rest ourselves.
The Vietnamese buffet was okay but not great.
Entertainment with some dancing and music after dinner was okay.
We could watch the boat trip down the river and there was a nice view, but a guide was missing to tell us along the way.
The trip was saved by a huge firework and light show along the river due to the “River Festival”.
Back at the quay, we were picked up by the guide and driven back to the hotel in a private car, just as the guide got off before us. We were disappointed!
Price and experience did not match.

The reason I gave 2 stars was for the puppet show and driver only . The boat we went on clearly was not the boat advertised in the tour in Viator as per my attached pictures . The food was not traditional Vietnamese cuisine as advertised . The hot food was Luke warm the cold food was warm.
We received 4 Huge Chunks of cold Garlic bread a green salad with an egg and a bit of tomato a bowl of fried rice some sort of crumbed small coke chicken pieces sone sort of cold beef strips that was stringy lumpy and 4 huge cold chicken drumsticks with brown lumps of jelly all over it. Unedible. The desert was 4 pieces if hot water melon . It cost us $110AUD each. The driver and puppet show was great the boat trip. 0 stars

This trip is the perfect way to spend an evening in Ho Chi Minh. The puppet tour was an incredible experience of Vietnamese culture and the boat ride was a great way to see Saigon at night. The food was OK but having someone to take you to and from every sight in an air conditioned car was completely worth it!

The puppet show is a bit boring cause we dont understand the language, dinner was so so standard food not many choices, But our guide miss Hana was outsanding, she is very attentive and caring, explain everything about the city.
I recommend you to have her if you are in Saigon.

This was a great excursion. Ken stayed with us and helped us get from place to place throughout the evening. He is a wonderful guide and understands and speaks English well. It was a wonderful evening! We highly recommend.

We booked a last evening for our family of 4 on this traditional water puppet show and then 3 hour (of the 4) on a river cruise including a “sumptuous” Vietnamese meal with “traditional” entertainment.
We were picked up promptly by our tour guide and taken by taxi to the puppet show which was enchanting, and we cannot fault that part of the evening.
On completion we were then taken to our river cruise, and this part was appalling to be honest. We were immediately offered a drinks menu (not part of the package) but when we picked 4 cocktails were advised these were not available – so why include them on the menu!
One of our party has a peanut allergy, which we had preadvised our tour provider, yet when the food arrived one of the dishes had peanuts! This was hastily removed. Of the other dishes we received cold tuna salad and cold prawns, but other dishes included chips, French bread, rice and 4 other meat dishes - but also all cold! On asking our waitress and tour guide who then came over we ascertained that all of these other dishes were meant to be hot. They all had to be taken away and microwaved but by then we were suspicious and the food when it came back was virtually inedible. (The following morning 1 of our party suffered stomach issues)
he traditional entertainment included a Vietnamese cruise line singer, + 2 belly dancers (not something we saw as traditional throughout 2 weeks in Vietnam elsewhere) – and then for most of the cruise we were entertained by karaoke from other travellers - to various capabilities!
On completion we were picked up again promptly and we asked to go somewhere where we could get some food as none of us had eaten very much, and he kindly took us to a local karaoke bar where we continued our last evening at our own expense.
The fault here lies with the cruise which was subcontracted by the tour guide, however we booked through Viator and sought a partial refund – it turns out this is just passed on to the local guide for them to resolve. We then faced significant communication with him sufficient that we had to block him.
Come on Viator take ownership please – our not unreasonable partial refund request was refused, we have used Viator many times successfully and we rely on you to manage situations. But guidance to travellers don’t go on this tour unless you want a very poor quality dinner and entertainment.
