1. Canal Grande
“The most beautiful road in the world”, this is how the Canal Grande is known as. If you look around, what you will see is almost the same view that a 18th-century nobleman would have seen, and before him a Renaissance courtesan, and even before that, a merchant who lived in the Middle Ages.
2. Peggy Guggenheim Collection
Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important art collections in the world. Peggy Guggenheim, from New York, arrived in Venice in 1949 and began to satisfy her art addiction by buying this wonderful building where she put on display invaluable artworks for the whole world to see. 3. Palazzo Gritti Badoer
The Gritti Palace got its name from the Gritti family, an old Venetian family, the most important member of which was Andrea Gritti,, the Doge of Venice in the Renaissance. Andrea Gritti led the Venetian armies against the League of Cambrai, consisting in France, Spain and the Holy Roman Empire, which wanted to stop Venice’s expansionist ambitions in France.
4. Teatro La Fenice
Once one of 7 major theatres in the city, today the Fenice is Venice’s one and only opera house. It is surely a jewel among European theatres, and began to shine from the beginning, as the best composers of the age wrote and performed their operas here, among which Bellini, Donizetti and Rossini. But it was Giuseppe Verdi who is most attached to the Fenice and to Venetian memory.
5. Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute
Here, as you come into the Grand Canal you are opened to the church of the Madonna della Salute. The guide was very knowledgeable as she walked us to the gondola stop. Unfortunately we had to wait for gondolas about 15 minutes. You can only have 5 people by law in a gondola regardless of small children. We were a party of 6 so they divided our group in two. One group was on their own. The other two random strangers were added to the boat. The gondola ride was 20-30 minutes in a big loop with quick pass through Grand Canal. No narration from gondolier but pleasant views. Our booking was 4 pm seemed a busy time.

Terrible! Didn’t see the Grand Canal as stated due to high tide. They struggled to get through rough water in the lagoon and went down a partial canal turning after the first bridge to go back. Want my money back!

The gondola ride is good, 30 minutes ride. There's a 15 minutes intro about Venice, and our English intro about Venice is mixed with the Spanish group, the guide spoke bilingual at the same time.

Experience was great! They explained how the Gandola started and then we had 30 minutes of Gandola ride. What we have found that they charge only 90 euro for 4 person. and they have availability through out the day. Since Guide wasn’t necessary, for this attraction I would directly go to them.

Don’t book this!!! Just walk around and hop in a gondola!! I know that this was a shared gondola ride but we have a small child and the tour leader placed us with the most hormonal inappropriate couple! It was so offensive that the gondolier fussed at them TWICE! We wanted to ask questions but didn’t want to watch the sex show!
I wish this company would take in consideration who they are placing together. They just randomly assigned numbers with no rhyme or reason. We asked for our money back or another ride but were refused.
This tour is about the same price as a solo gondola ride so just don’t book it! I worried we wouldn’t get to ride in one and booked the safe option. Regret every moment!
Also, the guy placing us out my small child behind me and she couldn’t see anything. Seriously nit a family friendly company!!!!!

The ride itself was nice but short. They don’t point out anything, it’s more or less a boat ride. Nothing spectacular but it’s a must do in Venice.

I was going to skip riding in a gondola altogether but decided to book a ride for me and wife and out teen daughter. We all enjoyed the experience which included a little history of Venice and its waterways. I’m glad we booked the tour.

The girl was nice and knowledgeable. The ride through the small canal was interesting but the Grand Canal had beautiful buildings. Seeing Mozart’s house was interesting.
