The guide was knowledgeable and energetic about the history of the island. The Mofongo making demo and tasting was great and filling. We only got one mojito which was tasty but would have loved another with the meal itself. We requested water while eating. Overall it was a good tour with lots of walking up and down cobblestone hill streets. Be ready with walking shoes!

We went on this tour last week. Totally thought it would be a good experience because of the recommendation from the cruise ship. But it wasn't. My wife and I were excited to try the mofongo and mojito. The mojito was too sweet and all we did with the mofongo was to mash it in a bowl. Seems like the staff didn't know what they were doing. Also the restrooms were dirty and so was the floor. Next time we'll just wonder around by ourselves

We did the rum tour, and Bernardo did an excellent job showing us the history of Old San Juan and then sharing Puerto Rico’s rum history while teaching our crew how to make 3 different rum cocktails. Bonus that we each got our own cocktail!

We didn’t have much time in Puerto Rico since this was a cruise stop. Thank you Bernardo for making it such a wonderful experience.

This was so great! Our guide was Lola. We started our experience with a visit to a local bar where we learned a bit more about drinks and bars in the area. The mixology class itself included us making 2 different cocktails and then getting a surprise 3rd. The dance lesson was very fun. As someone who sometimes struggles to learn dances, I was amazed that I was not only able to learn the salsa but able to dance to it in other situations during the trip. Additionally, we were celebrating my friend's birthday and the guide, dance instructor, and chef surprised us with a cake for our friend. Overall one of the best tours/experiences I've had on a trip.

Francis and the two Chefs were great. Never realized how easy it was to make Mojito + Mofongo. And it was very, very fun......

Arranged off the Norwegian Encore, this was a great excursion. We made our own mohitos and mofongo for dinner then went on a walking tour of Old San Juan. Having never been to Puerto Rico before this was a great activity for us to do.

We took this excursion through Holland America in what they called "History and Cuisine of San Juan on Foot." Our guide was Eddy who was a very likable and informative guide. We did walk a fair amount over curbs and cobblestones. Lunch included a lesson on how to make mojitos and mofongo. We ate what we prepared. Carmen, a New York transplant, did a wonderful job of mofongo making. Very tasty.

This trip is well worth the time and effort to ferret out. You'll like Eddy.

Description was moderate, but there was a lot of walking up and down steep cobblestone uneven streets. The guide was not miked, and you could hardly hear him unless you were standing right in front of him. The Mojito was weak- not sure if they used rum, and out of 4 of us, no one liked the Mofongo. For the price of this excursion I would say save your money.

The tour started off with a walk around Old San Juan, our tour guid we incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with ample opportunities for pictures. So after the walking tour is over get ready for some of the best food around. We were taken into a private dining area where the chef provided us with history of Puerto Rico’s rum history. We learned how to make a Mojito and used local rum Don Q which was delicious. Then on the the food, a starter, salad and then mofungo (you have to try it) and ending it all with desert. The chef was very nice and even allowed people on our tour to take photos of all the recipes for each dish she made for us that day. This group offers other tours of the area, but I would do it again just to eat the food. Give them your business if your in town, you will not be disappointed.
