Sonny is a good man, knowledgeable and we enjoyed him very much. All you could ask for in a driver. The only negative; this trip is a full day and you really need more time in Pienza and Montepulciano. I'd leave off Montalcino!

What a wonderful excursion. Just magical. Our driver/guide Massimo was the best. He works for Tuscany in Tour. His van was so comfortable. He was a great driver and a wonderful guide. Very personable. Just a beautiful guy. He made the whole experience very special. Montalcino and the wine tasting was superb. Little snacks were fresh and delicious. The Brunello was spectacular. Pienza was a marvelous little town. Montepulciano was bigger but still enjoyable. This was a highlight experience of our entire week in Tuscany.

Even though it was a very busy Sunday, during harvest season, with tons of tourists about, Aldo made it a very enjoyable experience. He showed us a few of his “secret spots” away from the crowds with amazing views, and explained some of the history behind Tuscany, how towns got their names, and more. We had a great time!

wineries visited did not respect what the description mentioned- no known quality wineries. the first was a small boutique winery- however quaint and acceptable- they showed us how theu processed their wine and tasting was reasonably good. The 2nd was horrible: we entered a cafeteria style place, sat on a small terrace, were served a first vino nobile of terrible quality along with a few slices of ordinary salami and cheese, and then they served a 2nd vino nobile in the same glass and were politely greeted ‘thank you fir coming’. We had 1 stop at pienza and given 30 min to find our own place and eat and another 20 minutes to walk on a tourist street at Montepulciano. 4 hours driving on a 8 hour day.
Not worth the 440 euros for 4 of us. Do not recommend. Plus they don’t even ask for our opinion. I suggest you identify the wineries you wish to visit, call to reserve, and hire a private driver.

Massimo picked us up on time at the hotel and we spent a wonderful day exploring Montalcino and Montepulciano. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was well paced and included visits to two wineries. I would recommend to anyone interested in a private tour of the Tuscan countryside.

Aldo was a wonderful tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Florence and all the surrounding cities and towns. He’s a terrific driver, very friendly and was just a pleasure to be with. He took us to a terrific spot in Pienza that overlooked a beautiful view of Tuscany! We visited 2 excellent wineries. We would recommend him to anyone that needs a guide for Florence or the surrounding area. Thank you for providing such a great guide to us for the day.

Our family of 5 enjoyed this day trip very much. It ended up being a private tour. Our driver, Andrea, picked us up promptly at 9am at our apartment and drove us to Montepulciano. There, we went to an ancient winery that was amazing! We booked this trip separately through Viator Wine Tasting and Tour of the Most Beautiful Cellar in the World. Although it took a few minutes to locate the local winery tour guide, once we did they could not have been more accommodating. We had a wonderful tour of the ancient wine cellar and then had a fantastic wine tasting with delicious bruschetta and meats and cheeses.

We did not have time to explore the town of Montepulciano, as we were then on our way to Pienza. However, before leaving Montepulciano, Andrea stopped at a beautiful viewpoint so we could take some pictures of the amazing landscape.

Once in Pienza, we had an hour or so to explore and do a little shopping. The town was very beautiful, located on a hilltop with more gorgeous views and a beautiful church as well.

Then we were on to our last stop, Montalcino. Once again, Andrea stopped at a perfect spot for pictures on our way out of Pienza.

We also had time to explore in Montalcino. They have a great fortress to climb to see more beautiful vews. We also did a quick wine tasting of the delicious local Brunello de Mantalcino wine.

Overall, it was a bit of a long day but well worth it to see these 3 beautiful gems in Tuscany. We enjoyed Andrea's commentary along the way.He was very informative about pointing out different sights and telling interesting stories as we drove.
