With this excursion you will be able to reach one of the most beautiful panoramic points of the Etna volcano to admire the sweet beauty of the sunrise.
The Sartorius Mountains (1,720 m) will be the place where we will wait for the sun to rise. They are ancient craters formed during the 1865 eruption. The name is a tribute to Wolfgang Sartorius von Waltershausen, the first scientist to catalog the volcano's eruptions in the 19th century. From the Sartorius Mountains we will move to the Snow Cave, a small lava flow tunnel used in the past as a snow house (a place where snow was stored for the summer season). The last stop of the tour will take us to Case Pietracannone. From the structure we will follow the path to Monte Fontane, crossing the lava fields of the 1950-51 and 1979 eruptions. Once we reach the top of the mountain (1,278 m), the panorama of the vast black sea of the Bove Valley will open up before us.
