I had scheduled an afternoon lesson for me and my teenage daughters. Unfortunately, we could no longer make my scheduled time. However, the staff was so kind and accommodating and allowed us to have our lesson earlier that day. Mason did such a great job instructing us and helping us. He was outstanding! In addition, we loved the pictures the photographer took of all of us. I’d give them all a 10/10. Thanks again!

We had three teenagers that did the surfing lessons, and they all really loved it! The instructor was great and they had another person taking pictures that you could purchase afterwards.
If your on Waikiki beach, then you need to take surfing lesson - these guys did a great job teaching and creating excitement.

Even tho we have paddle boarded before we chose to do the lessons since we’ve never tried it in the ocean. Gavin was amazing, he gave us tips on getting up and staying up through all the waves. Over all we were extremely happy with our lesson. Note to self: skip wearing a hat out on the water, it is a pain to keep track of when you fall in the water

i took a solo class, and the best part of the experience was seeing 5 turtles, one of which stuck it's head out on to the instructor's paddle board. i took the private course because there wasn't a time that worked for me with a group. SUP is a challenging sport, and i had only done it a few times.

Our SUP lesson was a fun time - Don was really nice and encouraging.
We got there a few minutes before check in time - and we started our lesson before the actual lesson time which was awesome because no waiting! But - the photographer wasn't there until about half way through our lesson so not a lot of pictures (only 2 of me on the board and the only other two I am in are the posed photos)
There was a wee bit of an accident when my husband rammed into my backside with his board while on a wave (I wasn't standing at this point) and it was a pretty bad run in (nothing broken though - got it checked out - but man - am I sore and it was a bit painful to get to a standing position from sitting and sitting isn't awesome either!) This wasn't the instructor's fault or the company's fault of course, but just as a caveat - make sure you stay a good distance from your partner - especially if they don't know what they are doing (I was a good distance away forward - but not sideways I suppose lol)
The instructor got my husband a flower lei since it was his birthday - a sweet touch. The desk staff were very friendly and nice. I would recommend Waikiki Beach Services for lessons - just watch out for getting hit in the backside!

Called in the morning to ask regarding availability (for 3 people) for Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP). Was told that there are lots of space for SUP. Arrived at Sheraton Desk one hour later (had trouble finding the place), and specifically asked 5 times to pay for SUP lesson as the attendant kept mentioning surfing lessons. She then says there are only 2 spots left for 10am available at the Royal Hawaiian. Rushed there to take the 2 spots remaining, which is about to start. The attendant at the Royal Hawaiian desk was able to sort things out as the one at Sheraton was still fixated at the surfing lessons availabilities, while there are lots of spaces for SUP. The SUP instructor was nice, but was clearly distracted throughout the lesson. Photos were expensive (30USD per person for the pics) but I guess that's part of Waikiki tourist traps.
