Had to search for the museum for a while and eventually found it in a forgotten corner.

Lots to see, little to experience. Most consoles were unplayable and/or defective. Of the large number of arcade machines, the majority were defective. The only one that really seemed to work was Pac-Man's. In other working arcades you had to pay again... strange since your entrance ticket already costs 12 euros.

Too bad there was a thick layer of dust on all the screens. You can also see the dust in the cabinets where there are nice figurines, etc. That gives the feeling that nothing is being looked after. There is also no one from the staff present to ask questions.

The concept is great, it has a lot of potential but at this point I definitely wouldn't recommend the Pixel Museum!

The Pixel Video Game Museum is a clear missed opportunity. It has a large and interesting collection, but the presentation falls flat with no inspiring decor. Sadly, about half of the games were either partially broken or just turned off. For instance, the Atari 2600 was shown on a screen that didn’t display the game properly, the shooting game Area 51 only had one working gun, and the Nintendo 3DS console kept resetting itself. Also, one arcade cabinet almost tipped over when used. Seeing all the turned-off consoles and arcade machines felt depressing, like a graveyard of joy.

The printed brochure explaining different parts of the exhibit was only available in French and Dutch. It's puzzling why it wasn’t translated to more languages and put online, which would have saved money and made it accessible to everyone. Also, during our visit, there was a Halloween theme, but it was poorly done with just black curtains hung up and lights turned off, replaced by small flashlights for visitors. If they hadn’t told us, we would never have guessed it was a Halloween theme and not just a power outage. The time spent on this theme could have been used to organize, repair, and go through the collection instead.

It seems like at one point someone enthusiastic was curating the museum, but they have since left or stopped caring. With some effort, this museum could offer a nice experience, but right now, it just feels like a missed opportunity.

I was so excited to visit this nostalgic trip down my gaming memory lane, but after the initial excitement of the chat to the guy at the front and the 2 min video before entry, the excitement level quickly dropped off as the dust level on the retro pieces got thicker and tge realisation that most of the game machines set out for you to play, didn't actually work!
I really wanted to see a spectrum 48k set up to play and a c64 but neither of these were available, there wasn't even a 48k rubber keyed spectrum on show in a case......
There is heaps and heaps of games machines from the beginning of gaming up until the ps5 / xbox series x in the cases but they are covered in dust and so in need of a good clean.
This obviously was a great and could be a great place for us retro gamers to visit but they really need to put some work and love back into this museum........ for the 12 euro entry I got to play 3 games I wanted to play on arcade machines, but all in all this museum was a huge let down........ it says give 3 hours for visit and play...... we managed about an hour in all honesty we wished we'd gone to the pinball museum instead.........

Hopefully the museum takes a look at itself and revamps and fixes its playable machines instead of just letting these great machines rot in a gaming hell hole......

Rip ........ 2 stars for nostalgia

The fact that we could play on the different consoles is AMAZING ! Brought back some good old memories !
Has a variety of games going from the first video game in history, to some of the latest VR technology.

Really nice experience, would gladly go back some day
