One of our most popular tours: Luxemburg is certainly a modern and vibrant city with a rich history and impressive ancient and contemporary architecture. In the old part of Luxembourg, our guide will take you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the Place d’Armes. In downtown Luxembourg you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Kirchberg district, home to several European institutions. In the valley, you will be able to see a trail of the Casemates, the abbey of Neumünster, the city walls and the picturesque sites along the river Alzette.
After some free time in the city, you will explore the quaint town of Dinant, with its fifteenth century collegial church and its impressive citadel. Dinant’s name originates from the Celtic “Divo Nanto”, which means “Sacred Valley”. This little town is dramatically perched on the narrow banks of the River MeuseI. This is the cradle of the Leffe beer and the birth place of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.

Dinant was a wonderful surprise and Luxembourg a bit underwhelming. Still glad we finally experienced Luxembourg and extremely happy to have visited Dinant. Beware that this was not an English only tour as promised as it was 1/2 Spanish which wasted half the time repeating the same commentary twice, which we did not appreciate even though the guide worked hard to please a large group of mixed language speakers.

Excellent trip that’s well thought out. Well worth the price. The tour is designed to include optionality of joining the walking parts or not. Also, the guide was very knowledgeable.

Great guide, super informative and knew her history. Made for a long day, about 12-1/2 hours, temps were in the upper 80’s (32 C), but so worth it. Amazing photos, would do it all over.

The walking tour of Luxembourg was beautiful and the guide, Jan was fascinating with insightful commentary. We had plenty of free time to enjoy the city at leisure before heading to the lovely medieval town of Dinant. The trip to the top of the Citadel was wonderful and again the tour was interesting and a nice amount of free time to explore on our own before heading back.

It was not as good as hyped. Not attractive place. The little country has little to see. The Dinant was a much better place to visit.

Great tour of Luxembourg and Dinant in a day trip from Brussels. It is a long drive and visiting Luxembourg was really refreshing. We had an excellent and knowledgeable guide. The visit to Luxembourg was a bit short given the time, and a lot to see and visit. We had a nice lunch in Luxembourg. The drive to Dinant in the afternoon was beautiful and scenic. Again a few hours here with lots to see and experience. Well organized and comfortable journey. Yes there is a lot of walking which is expected on these type of tours and the terrain is mostly cobbled stone surfaces. But again an unforgettable experience.
