We first take you to Bruges for a short pick-up stop. We stop at a very moving German Cemetery, from where we drive to a section of the WW1 trenches. We will then visit the Monument of the Brooding Soldier. After a short lunchbreak we leave for Flanders Fields which was one of the major battlegrounds in the First World War.
Our expert guide will help you throughout the visit to understand the events that led to the first world war and how the catastrophe developed. We take you to Passchendaele battlefield and the Tyne Cot Cemetery, the largest Commonwealth cemetery in the world where British, Australian and Canadian soldiers lie at rest. You visit the Monument of the ‘Brooding Soldier’ and Essex Farm. At 8 pm you attend the Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate (under restoration works until mid-2025), a daily tribute to all Commonwealth soldiers and officers that were missing after battle.

A very moving and comprehensive tour. We saw the main sight of WWI Flanders with an expert commentary. Appreciated the emphasis in the Canadian, Australian, British and New Zealand soldiers who did so much for that area

Lots of historical monuments, cemeteries, memories and moments to remember the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of soldiers for a cause that was just for them, which makes the day pass very quickly

This was an unbelievably packed itinerary. Not only that but our guide moved things around to allow us to see other memorials to fit in with our nationalities. He was extremely knowledgeable and fascinating to listen to. I would recommend you take plenty water and some snacks as it is a very long day and you don’t want to get hangry!

The guide was absolutely knowledgeable and well spoken on the history. It was well worth the time. My only wish we had time to go to the American Cemetery or it was on the list to go see. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Amazing knowledgable guide, (Dietrich - I think) very factual enjoyable trip. The lunch and drink provided was great. Ypres was gorgeous, lovely to have some time there before watching the service in front of Menin gate.

This was a trip I had on my bucket list & it exceeded my expectations.
Diederik, our guide, was knowledgeable & I learnt so much from his explanation of events of Flanders Fields & WW1.
It is a long tour but well worth the time. I will not forget this tour.
Also thank you to our wonderful, patient bus driver, Stephan.

What an informative day.
Deitrich combined the perfect blend of solemnity, information and humour to make a long, full day, enjoyable. Some stops felt a bit rushed, but to be fair, there was a lot to see and do. As a 🇨🇦, it was a poignant experience.
