the tour is very beautiful the guide took us through the terraces of the rice fields the people are fantastic six ethnic groups live in this place and thanks to our guide we were able to visit the city, the villages and the surroundings well. as regards the accommodation the hotel the food and the organization leaves a lot to be desired they requested a surcharge which was not told to us at the beginning because it was the first of the year I requested explanations without any success and in the end on the return they canceled the tickets for return to the city of Hanoi and I had to pay them personally and moreover I asked for a refund as the hotel was in an area full of dust and I had to take cortisonee because I suffer from asthma at night I didn't sleep and there was no it was nothing to do so be careful when you book and accept what is included and what is not included because the local tour operators are infamous I asked for a refund which was denied and we did not eat at this hotel at all.

Long trip, travel by sleeper bus with 2 hour stops. Lots of trekking, walking through paddy fields to see indigenous communities. When offered take rain boots take it, if you don't want to spoil your shoes since walking through the fields can get slippery and dirty.

On the first day, Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van, explanation from the guide was missing or less explaining about the different communities and their differences, probably because the group was scattered during hours long walking.

Second day Cat Cat village visit was good for photos, music and dances.

Hotel is ok and wet bathrooms seems the norm, have limited facilities, probably because of the mountainous area. Food was good and lunch was plenty.

A/C was too cool during the onward journey but return trip was good. Able to reach back to Hanoi on time!!

The tour described that travel will be by minivan but the agent booked me on a sleeper bus on the way up to Sapa which is not what I wanted.

I wasn't expecting the hike to be challenging, yet it was. Local guides assisted in the downhill trek. The path was a bit slippery from recent rain and natural debris.
