We had booked a day trip to enjoy the surroundings of Mt. Fuji with our guide Keita. It was very enjoyable from the start. We are quite demanding and do not like the obvious tourist attractions. Keita managed to surprise us with a great lunch, changed the schedule half way and took us to a very nice coffee shop at the end. Overall a great day and we highly recommend Keita as a guide. :)

Satsuki took us to places with stunning views of Mt Fuji, she and the driver were very kind and knowledgable. For instance, we were able to skip long lines everywhere due to their knowledge of when to go. Also Satsuki was very helpful in finding lunch with vegetarian food.

Tetsu and Kay were a fantastic guide duo on our trip to Mt. Fuji. Tetsu lead us though a fantastic trip to sacred waterfalls, a shinto shrine, a traditional japanese village, crystal clear lakes, and more. Fuji-san is more than a mountain after our trip!

We loved our tour. Great locations for stunning views of cherry blossoms and Mt Fuji. Was nice to visit a quieter temple also without the crowds.

Mt Fuji put on a great show on the day of our visit. Showing off its spender in a clear blue sky and ending the day enveloped in cloud.
In addition, we experienced contrasting attractions in the surrounding areas. Another delightful experience was local food at Houtou Fudou Kawaguchiko.
Our guide was amazing; most knowledgeable and very friendly.
Our day was long and unfortunately we were subject to abnormally slow traffic both ways in a number of sections of our trip.
Overall, a day to remember.

The tour was flexible and accommodating to our kids. We had 5 kids in our group (15,13,12,11,8). We had a great time taking in the Fuji landscapes, breathing fresh air and the tour guide patiently answered all of our questions about Japan.

This was one of our highlights on our first holiday to Japan. We could not have picked a more beautiful day and also our tour guide Yumi was lovely. Sharing her knowledge on so many facts that we did not know about Japan. She took her time with us, didn't rush the day and made sure we got to see everything that was planned. We felt so comfortable with her that she became one of the family on that day. I cannot recommend this private tour more and I would be sure to do this again and also make sure that Yumi was our guide. It was the most wonderful day, a bucket list experience on seeing the majestic Mt Fuji.

This tour of Mt Fuji area was a wonderful luxury, from start to finish. I was picked up at my Tokyo hotel by Haru-San (Haruhi Makino), who was very experienced, knowledgeable, energetic and fun. It was a private tour, so I was able to select exactly where I wanted to go and the types of things I wanted to see. She provided expert advice on additional places I may want to visit, and knew each location for getting the best access and photographic opportunities.
I was very fortunate to have perfect weather all day long with clear skies to see Mt Fuji. I had been watching the weather carefully to find several days of sunny weather and only booked the tour two days in advance on the best day, to ensure the best chance of having good weather and great experiences for the tour. Omakase Travel was wonderful in making arrangements quickly and had very prompt communication for every detail. Every detail was as represented.
I do not enjoy large crowds or delays associated with traveling with large groups of people, so this was ideal. I got to see and do much more than I could’ve seen in a group tour, and stayed only as long as I wanted at each site. Most of the group tours seem to go to the fifth station on Fuji, and the ropeway, both of which have large crowds, take a lot of time and just did not look like pleasant experiences to me to enjoy the beauty and sacred culture associated with Mt Fuji.
Our driver Kyo-San, was also excellent. He was so professional and patient, and knew his way around each location. His luxury van was very comfortable, from leather seats to customizable temperature controls for each area of the van. There was room in the van to have another three or four passengers, so for a family or a small group of friends traveling together, this would be an ideal way to economize and customize your experience in Japan.
I highly recommend this company, Haru-San and Kyo-San.

We had the best day trip to the Mt. Fuji area with Teto as our guide! We were picked up in the lobby of our hotel and driven out to Mt. Fuji in a very clean car with a very friendly driver. We did see a bit of the top of the mountain on the drive over, but even when clouds rolled in later, it was still lovely. We got pictures of the mountain with a pagoda, went to a beautiful lake and had delicious ice cream, and walked through a traditional Japanese village for a yummy noodle lunch. After visiting the ice and wind caves we went to an onsen (note that no tattoos are allowed) and then stopped at a traditional Japanese castle on our way back to Tokyo. It was a long day but such a great experience -- our guide was friendly and informative and a real pleasure to be around. Would highly recommend if you're looking to explore the area!

Thank you to our guide Tetsu and our driver! It was our groups first time visiting Mount Fuji and we were lucky enough to see the top! The views were breathtaking at each location we went to. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. We had to change some of our itinerary and Tetsu was very flexible and transparent in terms of timing and avoiding the crowd. Thank you so much for making our first trip to Mount Fuji memorable!
