A beatifully picturesque, artsy small village close to Budapest with Danube view, romantic tiny streets, streetfood and bazaar options, ideal short daytrip from Budapest.

Great way to get out of the city, learn some history and experience some culture. Best bit was our conversations with the guide about politics and history. Only disappointment was that you couldn't enter any of the historic buildings. Even the churches had no tourist signs.

What a fantastic tour! Rudy was so knowledgeable about not only Szentendre but also about Hungary’s history. The town is quaint, colorful, with amazing Langos and lavender ice cream, plus wonderful restaurants and shops! We totally recommend this tour! Thank you so much Rudy!!!

It is a very quaint village with several churches, restaurants and riverside walks. It is a bit of a tourist trap, so watch out for the prices... The best Langosh was offered for lunch - very tasty! Our guide was a young man, and was very chatty and informative. The total tour time is about 4 hours, including a return train journey of about 25 minutes each way.

The guide was excellent and did a great job giving us a breakdown of what the town was all about. We especially enjoyed the authentic street food Langos.

Great guide! Extremely knowledgable and personable. Brought Hungarian history and culture to life. We were looking for a walking tour and a country town day trip. Szentendre was just that. Thank you.

Rudy was amazing! This was a fantastic tour. You arrive at the city via the train. Rudy was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history. You have some free time to look through the many shops. You must do this tour!

Learned a lot about history of the town. Learned how politics affected its growth. Learned about shops/wares. Expected a dedicated van for this purpose...we could not all hear guide on a noisy train and bus transfer to the destination city. But bottom line was that we enjoyed the town and felt the tour guide did a good job.
