Even though it was a solo tour, there were three people accompanying me! A lot of effort was put into this tour by the organisers. My tour guide, Yuko, and our translator, Mandy, were extremely helpful and kind, answering many of my questions and going the extra mile to make the tour enjoyable. Yuko has been participating in Japanese alternative fashion for many years and it was great to be able to ask her questions and see her perspective on Harajuku fashion!

This was such a fu neat to spend an afternoon, going around all the kawaii places in Harajuku, and down Takeshita Dori. We dressed in our best Lolita coords to really make the day memorable.
Prior to the day we were asked what kind of places we’d like to go to and the tour was tailored to our requests. It’s a shame we couldn’t get into the Pompompurin Café, but that place is so busy and doesn’t take bookings.
The tour was a highlight of our 2 weeks in Tokyo, and we’ll probably be back again next year, and in greater numbers too!
