The city walking tour in Oxford is a fantastic way to explore the city! Our guide, Joanna, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating facts, insights, and stories that made the tour truly authentic, inspiring, and fulfilling. I took the morning slot to start the day, get the first understanding about the city’s life, history, and culture, and keep the rest of the time to enhance this experience by strolling and visiting other places. I highly appreciate Joanna’s energy and passion for making the day in Oxford so special.

Peter took as around he was late to the appointment. We were waiting over 20 minutes . Thought it was very interesting but didn’t see much as he had other tours. Felt very rushed. We had taken a private tour. He promised lots of things but didn’t do any.

Peter was a wonderful tour guide!! Would highly recommend this tour! He was very witty and told great stories about the many Oxford Colleges and landmarks we saw on the tour. His personalized attention (and delicious chocolates) made for a wonderful afternoon. There are so many places to see in Oxford; we would definitely go again!!

A very nice guy brought us around the Oxford village telling us many curious anecdotes of the village and Harry Potter's saga. He even made us dress up like wizards to take pictures in the divinity school. It was funny. I recommend this tour.

This tour was our very favorite thing of our weeklong trip! It was an easy train ride from London and gave us a chance to see what life is like outside of the big city. Our guide, Murray, was a student at Oxford and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as the university. He had many interesting stories that were entertaining for our teenagers. He gave us a really great feel for what life is like in the city and also as a student. He knew a lot about the architecture and history of individual buildings also. We did a two hour walking tour and felt like we got a really good overview of the city/university as a whole and he even gave us some ideas of things to do and places to eat after our tour was over. We would definitely recommend this tour and guide to anyone coming to the UK!

Michiel was our guide for our private walking tour in Oxford and he was great! We only had 90 minutes to spend on our tour before another appointment and Michiel was very accommodating. He asked us what sorts of things we wanted to see so he didn’t waste any time for us. He was very knowledgeable and clearly loves the city. If we ever come back we’ll be asking for Michiel to give us a Tolkien/Lewis tour for sure!

The Bodleian Library city walking tour lasted almost 2 hours and we hardly noticed the time go by! Our tour guide, Felicity was extremely knowledgeable. She answered all our questions with great humour and kindness. Felicity offered us tremendous insight into both the history of Oxford, the university and literature inspired by the city. Thanks to the Bodleian Library city walking tour, our visit to Oxford was very enjoyable and memorable!

The tour was great, but we almost missed it, because we found the "Oxford walking Tours" sign on the opposite side of the street and therefore stopped looking for the visitor information office. (It could be helpful with a short notice, that the visitor office on the other side of the road, also had other "Oxford walking Tours", especially since there were nobody to ask at the sign.) But when we accidentally saw the Visitor office on the other side, we made it just in time anyway. Once there we were approached with an representative who advised us that the guide would be there shortly, and he did. Joe was an excellent guide taking us to the various parts of the University and campus, detailing out specifics of the different colleges and other buildings. Joe was very serviceminded and did allow for photosessions to be done, before moving on to the next place. He was also very knowledgeable, specifically related to art history, but provided a lot of other funny and interesting information as we moved along the tour. After the tour he gave us a map and helped us to locate one of the museums we asked about the direction to. We highly recommend this guided tour with Joe.
