Asakusa, where our classroom is located, was the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo just over 100 years ago. Make a delicious bowl of ramen and some crisp and juicy gyoza to go with it.
Btw at our Chagohan Tokyo Cooking Classes, Guests can enjoy what we call the Japanese culinary experience, sake tasting or matcha making experience. In the evening sometimes guests can enjoy some light sake appetizers along with carefully selected Japanese sake & whisky.

I booked this cooking class in Tokyo with my family, and everyone loved it. Even though we've made our own Chinese dumplings at home, this experience was still educational and entertaining. The hosts were both so welcoming and funny, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend coming for any occasion when you're in the area!

We were given some backstory the good that we were going to cook which was very interesting and informative. Instructions were clear and any questions were answered clearly and with humour. End result was amazingly edible. A very enjoyable way to learn about how to cook some Japanese dishes. Highly

This was an amazing experience! Masa and Junko were fabulous. The class was very thorough, with some history behind the dishes, as well as amazing instruction. It was hard to believe that we’d made the gyoza - they turned out so perfectly! I’d unconditionally recommend this to anyone interested in ramen or gyoza! Masa is a wonderful instructor who speaks excellent English, so don’t worry about a language barrier. It was a highlight of our time in Tokyo!

It is quite a challange to teach a bunch of people how to make ramen but our host did a fantastic job in showing us all the steps and secrets of making our own bowl of ramen, which now we can recreate at home. We met some awsome people, made some fantastic dishes and had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this couse to everyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable culinary adventure.

We made the arrangements for a gyoza and ramen cooking class through our travel advisor and did not know what to expect. The class is located in the Kappabashi area of Tokyo in a small but lovely space. Masa and Junko are the owners and instructors for the classes and were very welcoming when we arrived. Each person’s work station was beautifully organized to allow the flow of the class to move along seamlessly. Masa did most of the teaching with Junko being the support. Masa is easy to understand and his explanations included some history of the food and the Japanese culture. There were about 15 people in the class and they managed us extremely well, always at our side when we needed them. I had trouble folding the gyoza the beautiful way they do it and Junko was right by my side, extremely patient, working with me. The gyozas and the ramen were absolutely delicious, the best I have ever had. They provided us with the recipes and well as photos of all of us. I wish I had the patience to make the sauces from scratch because they are the best. Overall my husband and I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Masa and Junko.
