Redeemed the physical tickets from a designated person at the theatre and skipped the lines. Just as advertised.
The show itself was enjoyable too. Would recommend for first timers.

What a surprise this was. Expected it to be somewhat a cheesy experience but many have recommended it so we tried it out!
It was really good. Impressive local instruments, live singing, quite funny and very good actually.
To find the lady that has your tickets, squeeze to the front of the regular queue to the left hand side in our case. A lady stood there handing out the pre-booked tickets

A 50 minute, colourful unique experience. We booked for a same day show, tickets collected from a nearby hotel and were glad we’d opted for the audio headset as this gave a brief description of the different scenes.

Water puppets show is a historic cultural arts show of Traditional Vietnam Worth seeing for the skill of the puppeteers & the commentators. Should be translated in English also to make it more attractive for the foreign visitors. The accompanying music was also magnificent

I will be honest, its a nice lake with a long red bridge, good for taking pictures.
Other than that there is nothing much. There are giant turtles on exhibit.
We did not take any tour guide for this, we just purchased the ticket at the counter and walked around. Ticket price is 30.000VND.

Lovely walk round the lake - especially nice when local families are out and the roads are closed to traffic. The little temple is very pretty and worth a visit. The building looks stunning when lit up at night. There were lots of young people wanting to practice their English - one young boy was undertaking a survey and managed to interview several members of our group - he and his friends were polite, friendly and interested in visitors. Lovely people in Hanoi!

I walked around the lake after i had dinner and had Vietnames coffee. This was on a Sunday when everyone is out and wanted to walk there. we are talking about a big crowd. This is not your typical nice walk but its almost touristy place where i would say thousand of people are walking around that place.
