Great value and great fun. Yes it's a long trip roughly 1000 miles, including ferry crossings, in 6 days, but you get to see and do so much. Despite mixed weather it was very enjoyable and I'm definitely considering going on another tour next year and have recommended Rabbies to several friends. All the accommodation was excellent too.
I was a bit apprehensive being a solo traveller and the only Brit, but I needn't have worried. A lovely bunch of people and a very witty and knowledgeable driver, Jim, who always looked out for us and looked after us.
Several people on the trip had been on Rabbies tours previously, so that was a testament in itself that they had come back for more.
Highly recommended.

A fantastic experience with Alan. He was funny, knowledgeable, considerate, accommodating and made the tour an exceptional experience. We saw so many sites, the b and b’s were all beyond what we had hoped for, the small group made it a personal experience as we got to know our fellow travellers and everyone joined in the fun. It was a great tour and we would highly recommend.

I just completed a 10 Day tour with Rabbies, which was a combination of two of their tours. The tour was the 10 Orkney and Outer Hebrides. Being two different tours, I had two guides and switched buses in between. First, I won the tour guide lottery with Billy for part 1 and Keith for part 2. They both shared so much information and knowledge of Scotland, played great music, and went out of their way to offer unique experiences. I think everyone had a blast!! Switching tours in between was a breeze and thanks to my wonderful tour guides, I was able to join in another Rabbies tour on my "free" day in between. This part of Scotland was beyond my expectations and so beautiful. I cannot wait to go back and hope to do more Rabbie's tours in the future.

Very well organised tour from the moment we met up at the bus station. There were guides to assist us. We had Jim as our driver and 12 in our group. Once he got the air conditioner sorted for the van it was more comfortable. We did have a bit of rain and wind and it was very cold but this is to be expected in spring in Scotland. Jim was a wealth of information with yarns and stories. Good sense of humour. We saw heaps and packed a lot into each day. We opted for Rabbies to book our accom and all were great except don’t stay at the Archway Inn in Ullapool on a Tuesday night as loud music till 11pm!.

This was nothing short of the trip of a lifetime. Six days of exploring the spectacular Outer Hebrides and the Isle of Skye. It’s a lot to pack in — and weather in Scotland is always changing — but, we saw everything from secluded pristine beaches to ancient ruins and vista that take your breath away. The accommodations were charming — you’re not here for a 5 star hotel experience. These are local inns with plenty of color. Our tour guide Donald was amazing — from his storytelling and music to constantly adapting our itinerary to make the most of the weather. I can’t wait to come back to Scotland and see more. And I’d certainly book with Rabbies again!

We had a fantastic six-day tour to Skye and the outer Hebrides with Michael. We have been on many Rabbie’s tours over the years, and like all the others, this one did not disappoint.
Rabbie’s tours provide the best of all options. The small group tours and small buses make a big difference, and the drivers are always super knowledgeable, personable, and fun. Michael told us all kinds of stories and jokes and history along the way and at every stop we made. We always knew exactly where to go, where to park, and where the best places were to eat, drink, and use the toilet.
An important part of any multi-day tour is knowing what to expect the next day and how to get around in the town. Michael always provided us with detailed information about what we should bring, where we were going, and what to expect. He gave us clear instructions about when to be ready for him to pick us up each morning and when we would be back in town at our hotel for the evening.
It’s always sad to say goodbye when it’s time for the tour to end, and this trip was no different. We made some great friends along the way and had a wonderful time with Michael. Our crew is already scheming about which tour we will take next.

We joined the 10 day Orkney & the Outer Hebrides tour with Rabbie’s and wanted to wholeheartedly recommend this intense and somewhat different trip.
We are a family of 5 (a couple with 2 kids and a grandmother) used to traveling on our own, with a rented car and freedom to do whatever we want. Our dream was to travel in the northern parts of Scotland and when we started planning the trip we realized that the difficult driving (driving on the left and very narrow roads) and the challenging weather conditions might be too much of a stress. We decided to explore a different way to discover these parts of the world and got recommendations on Rabbie’s. Traveling with people we don’t know, in one big car, a guide, a set itinerary? very different from what we are used to. But we decided to do it anyway. And we are here to give back a recommendation for others who want to travel with Rabbie’s.
The tour we picked is based on 2 separate Rabbie’s tours, and so we were lucky to be joined by 2 different guides.
Ian, the man and the kilt, with his vast knowledge of Scottish history and heritage and such love to the special landscape, nature and ancient history of the people that have roamed these lands before us that at times we could feel we are in the middle of a clan fight ready to go to battle; and Doug, who built his part of the tour as a full story, and being both a gifted storyteller and a wonderful DJ, weaved ancient and contemporary Scottish life, music, text and humor to whatever we saw around us.
Both - patient, cool and amazing drivers - gave us a varied, beautiful and full journey of this enchanted gorgeous part of the wonderful country of Scotland.
There is something for everyone in this tour and the ability to “sit back and relax” was strange at first but very rewarding at the end. Thank you!
