When you travel through West England, you feel bewildered.

In Avebury, you wonder why Neolithic inhabitants built the largest stone circle in Europe. At Lacock, you question how the stunning abbey has managed to be a nunnery, a brewery, a bakery, and a home. And in Bath, you ponder over what Britain would have been like if the Romans had never visited.

So on this tour, we give you time to investigate the secrets and understand the beauty of these famously historic locations.

Your guide lets you wander through the streets of Bath, where Georgian architecture effortlessly blends with ancient Roman artefacts. You travel to Lacock, where the rickety old lanes have been used as a filming location for Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, and Pride and Prejudice. And you venture to Avebury, where the stone monuments have beguiled visitors, historians, and archaeologists for centuries.

So uncover the mystery and history of West England on our tour to Avebury, Lacock, and Bath.

Our driver, Damien, was an amazing driver and very personable. It was a 10 hour day with tons of long driving and he was awesome! The itinerary and time spent at each stop was perfect. 10/10 would recommend

Rabies was an excellent company and Neil, our guide was exceptional. We would have enjoyed a little more time in Avebury but it was our own fault for taking time to eat rather than wait for Lacock.

The smaller coaches Rabbies provide make an ideal setting to enjoy this day trip. Our driver Graham was very funny and knowledgeable and all three cities were well worth the visit. A fun experience!

Lacock and Avebury were pleasant surprises. We had seen Stonehenge a few days prior and the visit to Avebuy (with its own stone circles) was a special treat (although sheep graze around it, and you need to be very careful where you walk. There were some disappointments in Bath. We expected a walking tour here (we did not expect it or need it at the other two locations) and this was a major disappointment Also, one of Bath's major attractions is the Roman Baths and a visit to the Baths is not included in the tour. But you should definitely pay the extra admission fee and visit the Roman Baths. The other major attraction is the Royal Crescent. Be advised that it may appear to be just a few blocks from the baths, but you need to climb a moderately steep hill to reach it. Finally, finding the meeting point (Green Line station) was a challenge.

I have done several day trips with Rabbie's, both in Scotland and London. I always enjoy my time on these trips. The drivers are always very knowledgeable (shout-out to Mark my driver on this trip) and enthusiastic about the locations. These are a great way to do a day trip outside of London. I got to see two lovely villages (Avebury and Lacock) and learn about them. I also got to spend an afternoon in Bath which was the highlight of the trip for me. I have been wanting to visit Bath for a long time. This was a good opportunity to get an overview of the city. I spent my time walking around and getting a lay of the land so the next time I visit I will spend a few days there and I know where everything is.

This was a very enjoyable and full day. It is a semi guided tour. The driver gave us some history and information at each stop, but we were free to wander on our own. We stopped for about a hour in Avebury. We walked around the fields and stones. We stopped in Lacock for about an hour. The village is so quaint, it is easy to see why it is used in so many films. The stop in Bath was about two hours. The driver gave us a map of a self guided walking tour. I had purchased tickets to the Roman baths(these are not included in the tour price). We had time to do both the walking tour and the baths.

As we had participated in a Rabbie’s tour previously, we had high expectations; our tour guide Dan and the trip itself definitely met them. This tour proved to be “just right” — the stones at Avebury were magical; the bakery in Lacock offered delicious pastries, and Bath was beautiful. Dan provided fascinating commentary about the locations, and his reliability put us at ease. We will hopefully participate in more tours like this in the future.

We were surprised that the tour happened with only 3 participants. The Roman Baths are a not to be missed experience! Driver was delightful. the villages were very beautiful and quaint to say the least.

Our tour to Avebury, Lacock and Bath was a highlight of our trip to London. The country side was beautiful and peaceful. Being in Avebury and Lacock was our favorite, it was like stepping back in time. Wish we could have spent some extra time in these locations. John our driver/guide was fabulous. Negotiating what I thought should have been narrow one way streets but were actually for two way traffic with ease and he even had some great jokes!
