Soak up the spirit of Speyside on a 3-Day small-group whisky tour! Explore Scotland’s principle malt whisky producing region, which is noted for its elegant and subtle-tasting whiskies. Your tour will depart from Edinburgh with a maximum of 16 people and head to the north-east area of Scotland. The region of Speyside follows the path of the River Spey, stretching from the west of the Cairngorm National Park to the east coast. Boasting an impressive scene of winding lochs, green glens and dramatic peaks, the region has something for everyone. Enjoy visits to four of the region’s famous whisky distilleries, Lindores Abbey, Royal Lochnagar, Glen Moray and Dalwhinnie and enjoy tastings and samples. Speyside is home to another 42 operating distilleries, so there’s certainly plenty more to see if time permits!

A great informative tour with 2 very nice and dedicated guides.

Every wish was fulfilled, if possible.
With a lot of information about history, land and people as well as an outstanding knowledge about Uisge Beatha - the water of life - the two made this journey very entertaining.

We will remember it fondly - thanks to Keith and Stephan for that!

As we have already done the Islay tour, it would be great if there were more whisky tours. For example a north tour or a south tour or a Campbeltown tour.

The two Austrians ;)

Well organised tour from booking, comms leading up to it and from the experienced driver/guide leading the tour. Transport was comfortable and the pace was enjoyable. Visits to a range of distilleries with lots of stops for refreshments. Loved the walk to the water falls - that was a good 'something different'. You don't have to be a whisky drinker to enjoy the tour but whisky drinkers would appreciate the finer points.

A truly wonderful experience. Keith was an above and beyond excellent guide and his stories, humor, and attention to detail were fantastic. The views and stops were all very fun. My only complaint is that 4 of the stops were distilleries owned by Diageo (Loch Nagar, Cardhu, Dalwhinnie, and Glen Moray). While they are all fine distilleries the gift shops are nearly identical and it would be nice to have some more independent stops if possible. Wed do it all again, though.

The Rabbie's three day Speyside tour was exceptionally well planned and value for money. The driver/guide, Al, certainly has to be a FIVE STAR guide and not only did we learn about whisky but Al has a deep knowledge of Scottish history, the glens, the coos, Scottish music, the various industries and the culture. He was extremely patient answering questions. The van was comfortable, and we had ample time to have lunch and stroll through charming villages In three days, ten distillery visits.

Our trip was just amazing. We had the best guide you can wish for, Jim Divine. He was so engaged and managed to adapt the trip to the weather and the group needs. We have been supported by music, stories, history and a lot of fun. It was an unique experience and we will come back soon!

Matt was AMAZING and a highly engaging tour guide. He made a point to provide the perfect amount of humor and context. He did a great job of making the tour personal and was very knowledgeable of the highlands and Scottish history. We’re very thankful for Matt sharing his home and culture with us.

When one of our whisky tours was canceled due to flooding Rabbies made a point to make it right. They rebooked us a tour to Aberfeldy instead. At Aberfeldy, we were lucky enough to try a 23 year old cask strength whisky which was certainly a highlight of the tour

Pro tips when booking this one think about going for the B&B option for accommodations. The Brooklynn house where we stayed was perfect. It sounded like the 3-star hotel was somewhat so-so from the others on the trip. Grantown on Spey is such a cute town and has great restaurants. Another tip is to book reservations ahead of time. They don’t seem to use Open Table so you’ll have to call.

All in all, the whisky tours were great with a lot of diversity, and we highly recommend this trip.

Billie Muir was our tour leader/driver and he was superb. His knowledge of the Scottish countryside and villages was expansive. The tour covered many neat locations. The distilleries offered great hospitality and freely shared their knowledge of the history and challenges of the Scotch whiskey industry. The visit to the Cooperage was a highlight. Such skill and hard work was witnessed there. Or accommodations were second to none.
Billie took the time to make the trip enjoyable for our group and was very flexible in ensuring the group was looked after.

This was our third Rabbie's tour of this vacation. All were excellent.

We will be back

Roger of Rabbies provided a comprehensive tour of highlands distillery. His fund of knowledge was impressive, and I was able to better understand the history of Scotland. Always prompt, always respectful of our time. I never found myself waiting. Good mix of distilleries, each provided a unique experience. It was fascinating to visit the cooperage. Thanks Roger for a very special tour.

A really great experience with an excellent guide in Gavin, who was spectacular. It helps when you have a bus full of outrageous and friendly Danes. The description implies a bit more nature viewing stops than are actually part of the tour. It is definitely whiskey/distillery focuses. It is excellent at that, though, and you do get some great small towns as well. Definitely recommend if you are focusing on the whiskey and clearly Ranbir's itself has a good system down with these tours. I will use them again when I come back.
