Hector, our guide from Amigo Tours, was excellent. He had just the right balance of information for both locations and provided us with some additional insights which were current and interesting.
The cathedral is stunning and vast. It's impossible to take it all in, so having a guide can help to prioritise what you see.
The Alcazar was on another level. The descriptions and explanations we were provided with by Hector again gave us insights that we wouldn't have noticed.
Tour started promptly at 11 with the Cathedral first. There was a half hour gap in the middle (useful for buying water or a snack) and the second part of the visit saw us entering Alcazar at 1.

Hector was an amazing guide throughout the Alcázar. We also super appreciated his flexibility after our desire to read no emails on our honeymoon led to a ticket snafu that he smoothed over without a second question. Knowledgable and friendly, would recommend to anyone.

Our tour guide was amazing, truly above and beyond! The Alcazar itself is beautiful and the guide did an excellent job explaining the history and answering our questions. Would highly recommend.

Great tour, we saw the cathedral and palace. Our tour guide Hector was really knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We were given headphones, and mini radios, perfect for the tour as easy to hear him wherever you stood. Highly recommend.

Great tour. Highly recommend it. We were concerned about the dress code but it was not very strict. Going early was good to avoid the crowds. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We would do it again.

You need to book tickets before you go as we stayed for 5 nights and could only get tickets for the last day we were there!! If you want to look in the royal quarters they are booked until mid July!! Best to plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Gardens were stunning.
