If you’re going to Capri for the day, the only way to properly see the island in a short period of time is if you book a private tour through Askos Tours. Don’t even bother booking elsewhere. Askos Tours is superb from start to finish. It’s the only way to see the magnificent island in a short time. Ask for Sergio. He is so knowledgeable and shared valuable information about the island. He brought us to the most incredible areas of AnaCapri to capture the areas natural beauty. I traveled with my parents and husband and three sons. He was very thorough and accompanied us every step of the way. Sergio made us feel like VIPS. He had all of the tickets already purchased for the ferry and the chair lift. We didn’t have to wait on long lines. The luxury of avoiding long lines and huge crowds in the heat was worth the money spent for the tour. Sergio also arranged our lunch reservation at Da Gelsomia. All of the food was so delicious. I highly recommend Askos Tours!

WE started out on a slow 1 1/5 hour ferry ride instead of the Hydrofoil as described and it went downhill from there. 20 minutes before arriving at Capri, we were informed that we would not go to the Blue Grotto. The tides were too high.. Tide charts are available a year in advance. We should have been told at booking that the Blue Grotto was not going to happen. Next our private tour was hustled onto a crowded boat full of nice cruise people ( 50 or so )for an Island tour. The final insult was the recommended tourist trap restaurant. It was our most expensive meal during a 2 week trip to Italy and Sicily and average quality. I would go on my own and definitely not with this tour.

Did this trip and whilst we enjoyed it, there was not a great deal to do, the drive up to Anacapri was great, such lovely views from up there, we also did a boat trip around the island, which was the highlight for me. Everywhere quite expensive so take your cards or lots of cash. wouldnt go again but glad we did it.
