This Active Van Tour is a great way to see the unique wildlife of Yellowstone National Park. We begin in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone.

The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk.

Later we scope for wildlife on the shoulders of one of Yellowstone's tallest peaks, Mount Washburn.

Next we explore the Lamar Valley, known as the Serengeti of North America. We will use spotting scopes to look for wolves, bears and other wildlife. Enjoy a hot drink while watching wolves.

Next we visit the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces for a short walk. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van.

Finally, we head back toward West Yellowstone stopping for additional wildlife sightings along the way.

The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

We had wonderful time during our tour. Our guide Karlie was awesome, energetic, enthusiastic. Her hospitality was great and she was very kind. She had great knowledge of the park animal hide outs and overall history of Yellowstone. I don’t think we ourselves would have been able to spot animals so deep. She answered all the questions very patiently. We saw bears, elks, bisons, mountain goats, ground squirrels, pikas, eagles, swans etc. the lunch food was good. overall I would highly recommend if you are new to Yellowstone.

Had an absolutely fabulous trip today with my family to the upper loop. Where we saw every animal on my wish list (and there was a lot). The beautiful scenery, plants, mountains, geysers, lakes.
Our guide Chris was a wealth of knowledge of the area. Explaining why the area looked the way it did, how the geysers came about, how the animals and habitat are so important to one another. The effect of the geothermal to the area.
It was very educational, but the many jokes made the day so enjoyable.😆
We were meant with a hand up into the van, a treat bags in our seats and had binoculars for each of us. At one of our stops offered tea, hot chocolate and coffee ( which was especially nice given the rainy day). But that didn’t dampen our experience. It was a fun day filled with surprises.
My biggest thrill was the grizzly and cubs 🐻, black bears, moose 🫎 badger🦡, elks🦌, mountain goats 🐐 to mention a few.

Michael was an excellent tour guide! He knew just where to go/stop for wildlife viewing, points of interest, and amazing views. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. Michael gave excellent suggestions for things to do and places to see for our remaining days of the trip. He was very professional and great to spend the day with!

Today my family and some newly made friends enjoyed the tour of Yellowstones upper loop. Although it rained a bit and was a little cold. The transportation given was comfortable, warm and loved the big windows. A gift bag of snacks for trip and lunch was provided, as well as warm drinks. I enjoyed my coffee of course, my Mom tea and the kids cocoa. Restroom stops offered frequently. Our guide, Chris Buckman, was most excellent. Not only was the tour exciting with all of the many animals spotted (and there was a lot) we were impressed with his vast knowledge of the area, animals, plants and geysers. Many stories shared as well as some (dad like) jokes kept the day filled with laughter and excitement. They offered binoculars for everyone to enjoy on the search. We saw some Pronghorn, Ground Squirrel , Elk. Deer, Black Bear and Grizzly with 2 cubs. yellow crane 😉😁, Bison (herds and individuals), Osprey birds and nest, family of Mountain Goats, a Moose, bird- Dusky Grouse, Chipmunk, Rabbit , Badger. Bald Eagle. Wolf, Trumpeter Swan. My goodness we got to see a lot. Chris knew just where to look and even would holler helper notes to surrounding tourists. Even when on the walks, others would gather around just to hear what he had to say. Sometimes it looked like our group had tripled. We just could not be more excited about being able to relax and enjoy this wonderful experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Karlie was a great guide who knew so much about the animals and the park. We saw so much wildlife including mama and baby mountain goats and lots of bears including a mama and 3 cubs. It was a wonderful day and we were so glad we decided on a van tour to see the park.

It was an amazing trip with our guide Michael. He is knowledgeable, and always enthusiastic. We started at 6am (so it was a peaceful morning drive). We saw many wildlife along Lamar valley, which required a lot of spontaneity and flow with what comes our way. We used a telescope too, which was a bonus on top of the binoculars provided. I love the vegan sandwich they made too. Thank you for making Yellowstone memorable! It's worth every cent ;)

We took this tour with Austin & Annmarie. It was more than we imagined. Started out seeing a coyote right away. It had snowed the night before and the trees were beautiful!
Saw 5 bears, lots of bison and pronghorns. Elk, eagle and even a moose. Austin and Annmarie were good spotters and the spotting scope made all the difference. Great time and wonderful guides.

Our two days in Yellowstone on our own were amazing but the day spent on the guided van tour was even better. From pick up to drop off this tour was excellent. Dallas, our guide was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and interesting, making conversation throughout the trip and making sure everyone on the trip was having a good experience. He adjusted the schedule when there was something interesting to see more closely, like a momma bear and her cub. He pointed out a moose and her calf. Unfortunately, there was no place to pull off to observe them better. The beverages and food provided were better than expected. We had a pleasant day without having to do any of the driving. Having an experienced tour guide is a great way to experience Yellowstone and well worth the cost.
