Combine inside Alcatraz with an assigned same day visit to Muir Woods with Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy a hybrid of driver narration with bridge history and Alcatraz Escape presentations.

This tour includes:
Assigned By Us: Muir Wood Van departure time (70+ minute)
Assigned By Us: Alcatraz Island Admission Time Slot (2.5+ hours)
Golden Gate Bridge stop (10+ minutes)

We will assign your between 7am-4pm in peak times. Guests will be returned to San Francisco by van or included ferry on select dates.

VIP James Woods Road Trip Upgrade: Muir Woods Express plus bonus time in Sausalito with brunch credit. Guests will be returned to Wharf by van or ferry. Some dates will start by Sausalito Ferry then Muir Woods/ Golden Gate.

Early Bird: Get there before the crowds do! Enjoy nature as it was intended to be! We are often the first tour group to arrive! Silence is golden! Enjoy the park and relish in the experience as we leave seeing the endless busses arrive to the park. You will thank us!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

✓ Assigned By Us: Time Boat to and from Alcatraz Island from Pier 33
✓ Tours will start and finish in Fisherman's Wharf. Returns by van or ferry.
✓ Assigned by Us: Time Same day Muir Woods bus (70+ minute self guided; entry fee not included)
✓ Hybrid narration/television monitor (when available)
✓ Official Alcatraz ticket, including ferry ride to the island (Value $45.25)
✓ Golden Gate Bridge Photo Stop (Sf Side) Ample time for photos!

✗ Children age 7 and under without proper car seats not permitted by law
✗ Days events may be arranged in any order that we may deem necessary
✗ This is a non private tour with various guests of max 40 people
✗ No transportation to/from hotels to Pier 33 or Express Van departure point or Pier 39
✗ Infants 4 and under free at Alcatraz but fee applies for Express seat portion
✗ Van does not provide car seats or booster seats (required for age 7 and under)

All in all it was good. But the tour did take much longer than described (9h) you could chose how long you will stay on alcatraz but i was only 1h. Also the meeting point was not the where the tour ended(it was about 15min per foot away). The tour was still great and the driver was very nice and helpful! I just would have wished that the information online was corret. Espacially because you had to reserve a parking space and i almost did not get back in time because the tour was so much longer.

My son and I had an amazing time! The early morning tour gave us the a peaceful walk in Muir Woods, the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge and no traffic! The Alcatraz experience awesome and something we will never forget. My teenage son said this tour was the best part of our trip! Driver James was so knowledgeable and friendly. His driving was exceptional and we felt completely comfortable and safe! I highly recommend this tour!!!

This was a wonderful trip I would recommend to anyone. James did a fantastic job and the structure of the tour is just right. Getting to Muir woods early really emphasises the tranquillity of the place and the stop in Solsilido is very welcome a great venue. The time at the Bridge for photos is just tight but James blend commentary and videos to bring not just the bridge but parts of the city alive too. The tour finishes with the visit to Alcatraz which is an absolute must. Really fascinating audio tour of the cell houses but also a wonderful and interesting nature reserve to walk around with stunning views back across the whole bay

What an amazing experience!!!!! Our tour guide, James, was FANTASTIC!!! He was very informative and personable. His decision for us to leave early for Muir Woods was brilliant as it gave us a chance to enjoy the park to ourselves which allowed us to appreciate the park’s reverence. Please take this tour if you want to appreciate nature and be educated by an amazing company.

Driver James was an amazing tour guide and we highly recommend him. We especially enjoyed the early entrance into Muir Woods, so we could enjoy it before the crowds. It was well worth the effort to get there early.

Fantastic value! Great storytelling about San Fran and its amazing history. Our early Muir Woods access delivered an experience as if the park was our own. Great visit to the Golden Gate Bridge and timely drop off to the Alcatraz ferry boat and prison experience. Thanks!!!

We traveled with our 5 y/o and it was an excellent tour! We had just enough time at each stop for our kiddo's attention span. We knew exactly where/when the pick ups would be and also got great info about the city from our guide, James.

James was great. We didn’t see the GGB on this tour but if you follow the instructions everything else was seamless. We had a great time and James was very accommodating. We were traveling with a 1 year old and we had a great experience. Definitely recommend.
