Etna Tour Morning is our half-day itinerary to discover the volcano, which combines a visit to ancient craters at an altitude of 2000 meters and a light trek along a path immersed in volcanic landscapes.
Starting from your accommodation in Catania, the first stop will be a visit to a lava flow cave with torches and helmets.
Second stop to discover the Silvestri Craters created by the 1892 eruption on the southern side of the volcano, the route continues with a trek lasting approximately 1 and a half hours along a path characterized by ancient flows and breathtaking landscapes to discover the Silvestri craters born from eruption of 1892 on the southern slope of the volcano.
The tour will end with a typical Sicilian lunch where you can taste the flavors and food and wine tradition of the Etna area. A moment of pleasure, but also of relaxation before returning to the pick-up point in Catania.

We took the Etna 3000 trip
We arrived at the pick-up point and we were greeted by the staff with a smile, we were surprised to find out that our guide was the driver of the vehicle and that we were not taking a bus at all, which improved the quality of the trip. The guide explained to us on the way to Etna about Catania and enriched us with knowledge, The trip itself to the mountain was fascinating and we received a completely personal treatment from the guide. We really recommend! We had a lot of fun and it boosted our trip!

The guide explained everything very good und showed us a lot of things. We learned about the volcano Etna, the different eruptions and the formation of Sicily and Catania.
Before the hike we had coffee and crossaints (self pay) at the restaurant up on the mountain and after the hike we had the included lunch, very nice (arancias, pizza, lasagna, sandwiches).
I would definitely recommend the trip!

We did the morning tour with lunch included. A bus picked us up. Our guide was a very friendly lady who told us a lot about the region during this bus trip. We got a lot of explanation and could ask questions too. Lunch was nothing special but a good light meal for the price. We enjoyed this tour.

Good communication before the trip as we had hired a car and were coming from Taormina.

Giuseppe was our guide and we were two of three on what felt like a private trip!

Journey to Etna in the SUV was smooth and educational.

The visit to the caves was fascinating as you can see how the lava tubes had cut through the land.

Our hike up Etna was 1-2 hours but lots of stops to be guided on all the explosions, lava flows, and numerous craters.

Lunch was simple and tasty, but for the price very reasonable.

Overall a great trip with Tourist - the organisers - with all staff super friendly and we learnt masses!

Highly recommended!

Really special experiences and locations! We started with driving up Mount Etna and stopped by a cave where we explored further inside the cave and learned the history and facts about the lava stone and its formations.

Then went to a crater with beautiful views and lots of history from that site. Following that we went to many beautiful view points to see the old lava flow formations from back in 1921 and 1600’s.

We then went on our wine tour which was also separately booked but as part of the same tour. This was very special and at a beautiful destination with great service.

The trip was both relaxing, enjoyable, fun, interesting and super exciting, filled with cool facts and lots of new knowledge about Sicily’s Mount Ryan and its surroundings 😊.
