Visit both Accademia and Uffizi Galleries at your own pace and with total freedom. Explore the museums guided by an audio commentary made by expert art historians and recorded in your own language.
Accademia Gallery: Total immersion in the art of Michelangelo to know his most renowned work, the “David”, and other important works of art such as ''I Prigioni'' and ''San Matteo'' and the “Palestrina Pietà”. The young Michelangelo carved the David from a huge block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the renaissance model.
Uffizi Gallery: You can't leave Florence without visiting one of the most famous art galleries in the world where admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many others. Among the precious exhibition halls of the Gallery, the most renowned one contains the refined works by Botticelli: "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus".

Uffizi was incredible but we were not aware that we needed our passports in order to receive the audio guides. We learned this after checking in at the museum at our tour time. Very disappointed not to have the added information and guidance, which would have enriched the experience. The David was extraordinary.

First thing is that “early entry” is false. The Uffizi opens at 8:15 and by the time you get the tickets from the tour representative the line has already built up. We were a little disappointed that we had to rush through the Uffizi due to the time constraints of these tickets. After a hike to the Accademia we were met by another representative from the tour company and given tickets that allowed us to stand in line for around 30 minutes until we were allowed entry. Another thing I wish the website had mentioned is that both of these galleries require that you leave an ID to get the audio guide that we paid for with this tour. We only had copies of our passports on us therefore we didn’t get the full experience we had paid for. I think we would have been better off to get 8:15 entry tickets from the Uffizi and had lunch/ brunch. Then maybe an early afternoon reserve ticket for Accademia. That would have saved us about $100 and the stress of the time constraints.

Both sites deserve separate visits. There was insufficient time to view the works in the Uffizi and then walk to the Accademia. The audio guides were good, but I plan to book a small group tour of the Uffizi next time.

It was great not wait in the queues and also to do a self paced tour
