We offer a tour for a small group to enjoy togetherness and excitement while hunting for Northern Lights in the beautiful landscapes of the Alta Fjord. We arrange organized guided tours since 2007 and have the knowledge about how to find the Northern Lights if the conditions are there. On our tours you normally will have 80-90 % chance of seeing this spectacular view. You will be offered a reindeer skin to lay on. While enjoying the great outdoors and waiting for the green lady, we will share with you local stories about Norwegian way of living and the local history from the Stone Age, Sami culture, reindeer-herding, wildlife, Second World War and the modern society in Alta and Finnmark. During the tour we serve a taste of warm and cold snacks and beverages (alternative to vegans, etc.). We are normally back in Alta Center just over midnight.

The tour was very great, well organized, nice clean minibus.
Picking up from the ship also worked wonderfully and we had a few stops for the lights.
Diamela has put a lot of effort into it. We were very satisfied and would book it again,

The owners were so accommodating and knowledgeable. They provided boots and outer wear so we weren’t cold. We learned a lot about the area and their lives. Unfortunately we didn’t see any northern lights because of the clouds and snow but we drove to many different areas to look. I’d highly recommend the tour.

We did not find Northern Lights! Long trip into the mountains of Norway in the dark. Staff of two were very kind - sorry that they could not find the northern lights .

We really enjoyed the tour, they tried several different stops to make sure we had the best experience possible. It was an overcast night but they found us Northern Lights and it was beautiful. We did this as a special tour off of our cruise ship and we ended up being one of the few people who were able to see the lights on the cruise because of weather conditions. We are so glad we did it and would highly recommend it.

I struggled here, I would have preferred a 3.5.
When you go on one of these tours there is never a guarantee you will see the lights. Nature controls that. But when you go out knowing from experience that it is highly unlikely, there should be an option for the tour operator or tourist to call it half way thru and have an agreed refund amount.
Otherwise you are driving around with little hope.
That said the operators were fabulous and engaging but there has to be a better ending on nights like this.

We did not see any northern lights, but the experience was nonetheless interesting. We made several stops to get photos of other features around the town and the evening was capped off with a stop at the owner's home for hot chocolate and biscuits around a campfire.
This is a small, family-run business with personal attention from the owner and his wife; very well run.

Alta Adventures is a very experienced outfit, and despite doubtful weather conditions, they managed to find us some great Northern Lights in a beautiful setting! I would have booked with them for a second night if they had more tours available! Thanks, Diamela and Marius!

Mark (English version name) was an excellent guide! They made a special trip just for us due to our ship itinerary changing last minute. We did get the snowmobile stuck 3 times but he was very patient about us getting it stuck and was very skilled getting it unstuck. They provided gear to keep warm but advised to wear at least 3 layers underneath.

Stig and his wife were a delight; very accommodating and kind. The tour was interesting and Stig kept up an informative narration. The stop at the "camp" was highlighted by a campfire, hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows, and sweet rolls.
Due to the weather, the Lights did not appear but the overall experience still gets five stars. Thanks Stig!
