Iker was an excellent t guide and extremely knowledgeable. It took me a while to tune into his accent, but once I had, I learned an awful lot.
Iker extended the tour by nearly 2 hours as we were interested in knowing more about Goya. I genuine think I learnt a lot - and because of Iker’s friendly and informative style, I am hopeful that I will retain it!

I highly recommend Iker to provide you with a personal, thoughtful and educational tour of the massive collection in the Prado. Iker takes time to introduce himself and learn about his guests and their interests. He expertly weaves several centuries of Spanish history into the tour while relating ancient works to human needs in the modern world: power, fame, lust, ambition etc. I would take another tour with him in a heartbeat!

Did two tours with Maria one through the city center the other of the Prado. Tour was with family and included two children. Maria was excellent and made the tour interesting for the entire family. The museum tour was excellent. Maria was very knowledgeable and did a great job making it relatable for everyone. It was hands down one of the best experiences I have had in an art museum. The selection of paintings we discussed was amazing and she was able to portray their significance in a way that made each interesting and impactful. I have never had a guided tour of an art museum before but after this experience would do it again. Maria was also very attentive to my two kids and engaged with them through out. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

Maria met us near the Prado. As we walked to the museum, she explained the history of the area and the building. She led us through the museum to explore many of the important paintings, explaining the significance of each from the historical and artistic perspectives. She was well-prepared and showed us interrelationships over time with other paintings. For example, she showed us how Picasso was influenced by a Velazquez painting. She’s personable, clear, patient and a lovely person. A wonderful guide. Highly recommended.

We always find local tour guides when we travel, some are better than others. Iker is an exceptional guide, so knowledgeable about the art in the Prado museum (he covered so much in the two-hour time period), but also so warm and personable. That’s a wonderful combination and exactly what to look for when searching for a guide. We recommend Iker highly!

Our family loves museums, and when we visit a large museum like the Prado, we feel it’s worth the splurge to have a guide.
Govi is among the best we have ever had. She put everything into a historical context that deepened our understanding. She made sure we saw the highlights and understood what was so special about the most important paintings. She was so friendly and easy to be with. It was a memorable day and we enjoyed every minute!

The guided tour of the Prado museum by Iker was absolutely mind-blowing! I have never left a museum so impressed as after this visit and Iker was the reason for this entirely. His passion in explaining the master pieces was unique and he managed to draw us under his magic spell. From the Jeroen Bosch tryptiches with its hallucinatory images to the absolutely incredible shifts in perspective of the Tintoretto Washing of the feet and the stunning Lady with the veil statue and so much more! I left the exhibit and tour transformed and extremely grateful; I could not recommend him more!!

Maria Augusta was very friendly and knowledgeable, showing us around the area and explaining the history. Inside the gallery she showed and explained the art making it a pleasure to learn. We really enjoyed the experience and the time just flew by and we loved learning about the paintings. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone.

Our family started our Spain vacation in Madrid. Elena gave us a tour of the Prado and brought life and context to what we were viewing. We appreciated her passion for the art and for her country's history. She spoiled us for the rest of our trip though! After our time with Elena, everywhere we went someone in our group would say "we need Elena here too!". She also made recommendations for other spots to visit, including a wonderful flamenco show. We highly recommend Elena!

We are so thankful to have Maria as our tour guide. She took such great care for us. Took the time to find us when we thought we might be lost. The tour of the Prado Museum and surrounding area is one we will always remember and treasure. What an amazing start to our trip to this most amazing city of Madrid!
