Our journey starts with a morning pickup. Drive in air conditioned comfort into the heart of the city of Montego Bay. Locals are known to "mek fashion" with whatever food is in season, so your first meal could be anywhere between some brownstew chicken, ackee (when in season) & saltfish, patties or a cup of peanut porridge. There will be brief interludes between the food stops where we discuss the history of the food, it's current relevance in our society and the ingredients/ process we use to cook. We continue driving and eating with stops along the way for sampling of traditional foods, such as jerk chicken, festivals, rice & peas and whatever else is being fared at the local hotspots.
Hotel pickups from Falmouth or Lucea is also available, select the appropriate pickup area when booking.

I was desparate to leave my resort to experience AUTHENTIC Jamaican Food! So happy I found the Foodie Tour!! Our tour guide DAS was friendly and knowledgeable not only about foodie spots and the area but he also gave us history lessons about prominent figures in Jamaica as well. He was easy to talk to and was flexible with requests.
We had a few stops and right away for breakfast the food far exceeded my tastebuds expectations! The chicken was tender and flavorful and I couldn’t get enough of the dumplings.. and although we knew we had a days worth of eating, we couldn’t help ourselves but to keep eating!
We also stopped by a fruit stand where Caney (Tenny) was really nice. Great workmanship with the machete and coconut! BTW.. BEST mangoes ever!!
Went a few more places like Juici Patties (yum) and went to get Oxtails ( a special request) and Curry Goat!

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Jamaica, and decided to do this tour at the spur of the moment. The one word to describe this tour is INCREDIBLE!
First, let me say that this experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It is one thing to go to Jamaica and be at a resort, but it’s another thing to actually go out and experience what it’s like to eat like a local! On this tour, you’ll get to eat how locals eat and see all around Montego Bay.
Second, our tour guide, Das, was incredible. We wanted to experience the local culture and truly connect to it! Das went above and beyond to ensure that we had an incredible experience! He was very accommodating & made the tour enjoyable. His knowledge of Jamaican history and food was vast, and he was also very insightful to the spots we went too!
Lastly, if you go on this tour, be ready to eat, laugh, have fun, and experience the REAL Jamaica! We will definitely book another experience through Das when we travel back to MBJ!!

Das was great! Very conversational and accommodating. He was willing to do the tour on Sunday and had to make a few changes to make sure we still got a good experience. The food was great and his knowledge of Montego Bay and Jamaican history made the tour awesome!

Das was AMAZING!!! He was friendly and accommodated requests with EASE. The food tour was very informative and was filled with nothing but delicious eating and snacking. I highly recommend booking any tour with Finesse Vacations Jamaica. 1,000,000/10 in my opinion!

We had such a great experience of which our tour guide Ms. Georgia (Mama G), I highly recommend her as your guide as she was definitely great in her knowledge and explanation of the various parts a Mo Bay. It was the best excursion we have had.

The food tour was great! Not only did we get to eat tasty food and snacks, we also learned some history about Jamaica. It was a private tour with a tour guide for my friends and I. Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the island’s history. I highly recommend this tour.

My recent tour with Mama Georgia was hands-down the best I've ever done in Jamaica. From the start, she radiated warmth and hospitality. She outlined the itinerary and what to expect, which put me at ease.
Our adventure began with a delightful "mango hunt," where we scored a bagful of delicious mangoes. We then cruised through various neighborhoods, getting a true insider's perspective of Montego Bay. Mama G expertly curated our culinary journey, selecting phenomenal local eats based on our preferences. The patties and cocoa bread were unforgettable! We also grabbed some jerk food for dinner and finished the tour with a sweet sugarcane treat – Mama G wouldn't let us leave without it because she’s a Jamaican Angel!
If you're planning a trip to Jamaica, book this tour, and request Mama Georgia if possible. She is the heart and soul of this amazing experience!

Had a great time today touring and eating some delicious Jamaican food. Das was great and very informative not just with the foods we ate, but about the culture, the neighborhood and the people. And the food was so good! I mentioned wanting to eat some Jamaican oxtail, and he went out of his way to make sure I got some. He also helped us capture the moment by taking great photos and videos for us. I highly recommend!

BOOK THIS TOUR!! DELICIOUS Authentic Jamaican food. Das is great, he shared so much history of Jamaica and the culture. He took us to food spots that he frequents. I especially enjoyed going into the different neighborhoods where tourist typically do not travel I will definitely book other experiences with Finesse travel when I return to the island. Super clean, air conditioned and comfortable van.

This review is LONG overdue, but definitely still deserves the recognition.
From the food, to the cultural experience, everything was perfect. Das was a great host and tour guide. We laughed, exchanged stories, and of course ate good! When I visit different countries I try to book at least one activitiy that will connect me to the culture of the place. And this tour absolutely exceeded my expectations! This was not just a basic "tourist type" tour. It was authentic, thoughtful, and fun.
