Land Rover Safari: Tripitis Gorge and Beach, South Crete

We were picked up in the morning and headed off to the south of Crete. The driver explained a lot to us on the way and made stops to look at beautiful and interesting places.

The tour with Thomas was great. Everything went smoothly, we were picked up from the hotel at 5:15 p.m. sharp. He took us safely through the mountains, told us lots of information and had great taste in music. Since I was only traveling with my friends and a guide, the tour was very personal and we felt comfortable. The car was also very clean. The food in the tavern was also very tasty. Conclusion: it was a great and, above all, beautiful trip because of the sunset, and I can only recommend Thomas as a guide!

What an amazing day led by Kostas Kamakis! Trying Raki and home made treats, seeing Olive trees and various natural herbs 49 swimming and lunch. What a perfect day! If you are debating this trip don’t second guess yourself just book it! We would do it all over again

The tour with Toni was very nice. He drove us safely and well into the mountains and gorges. Including feeding the goats and staying on the secluded Tippiti beach. Also the information about Crete, life, the country and the people, simply authentic. Toni even served us food in the tavern, best service!!! Thanks from Angelika and Enzo.

We would like to thank Stelios for the amazing safari tour on 24 May 2024. We started in Rethymnon and picked up other passengers up in Matala and Agia Galini. Stopping at a taverna to taste home made honey, olive oil and raki. We then traveled to Zaros where the famous mineral water is made. We then drove down through the incredible gorge of Tripiti, to the beach, where we had time to swim before a traditional Cretan meal in the taverna on the beach. This was a very memorable tour with outstanding scenery. What a day to remember, thank you Stelios for making it so special.

We spent a pleasant day with our guide Grégory. He speaks French very well and in addition he had a lot of humor, always attentive to our comfort, he took us along roads on which no tourist would have ventured to show us more magnificent landscapes and viewpoints. as each other. During the journey we stopped for lunch in a beachside tavern where we tasted each homemade dish and with quality products under a fresh flowered arbor, the meal was hearty. Wild but magnificent stony beach.
