Explore the wild and beautiful Scottish Highlands on this small-group tour from Inverness or Invergordon. 1. Clava Cairns
Our first stop will be to the Clava cairns. Clava Cairns are a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves; ring cairns, kerb cairns and standing stones in a beautiful setting. Clava Cairns or the Prehistoric Burial Cairns of Bulnuaran of Clava are a group of three Bronze Age cairns located near Inverness. A hugely significant and exceptionally well preserved prehistoric site, Clava Cairns is a fantastic example of the distant history of Highland Scotland, dating back about 4,000 years.
2. Culloden Battlefield
Our second stop... is a visit to the powerfully moving site of the final Jacobite Rising – the last and most harrowing pitched battle to be fought on British soil between Scotland and England. Explore the interactive visitor centre, view fascinating artefacts from both sides of the confrontation, and experience the battle in the immersive surround cinema. (Entry to this adventure is included in your ticket price) On 16 April 1746, the final Jacobite Rising came to a brutal head. Jacobite supporters, seeking to restore the Stuart monarchy to the British thrones, gathered to fight the Duke of Cumberland's government troops. It was the last pitched battle on British soil and, in less than an hour, around 1,500 men were slain – more than 1,000 of them Jacobites.
3. Loch Ness
Lets stop at the entry stairway down to the shoreline of the most famous Loch in the world. If you have no fear of the monster that may lurk below the water then why not dip a toe or two into the deceptively warm water.
4. Great Glen Distillery
Step into the smallest Gin distillery in Scotland and sample their world award winning Gin, while you listen to the incredible story of their local adventure leading up to the opening of this amazing Gin. NOTE: The Distillery will be closed during the winter months
5. Urquhart Castle
Now we make our way to a Castle full of Wild natural beauty and 1,000 years of history - Urquhart Castle offers a taste of the Highlands at their most dramatic. Discover 1,000 years of drama, experience a glimpse of medieval life and enjoy stunning views over Loch Ness from the ruins of the greatest castle in the Highlands. Climb the Grant Tower that watches over the iconic loch, peer into a miserable prison cell, said to have held the legendary Gaelic bard Domhnall Donn, and imagine the splendid banquets staged in the great hall.

We loved this tour! Our guide Sarah was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and lore of Scotland. You can really tell her passion for Scottish culture & history. When going to Loch Ness I had a preconceived notion that it would be a ourist trap. But Loch Ness and the Great Glen in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, it’s worth going to Urquart castle, not just to see the amazing ruins, but also get some amazing views of the Glen and the loch. I highly recommend this tour!

We greatly enjoyed our day with George & Go Highlands! He was full of energy, knowledge and was a lot of fun besides! Our tour more than met our expectations. We saw what we expected to see; but George's personal touch and commentary made the day extra special. We highly recommend this tour!

We toured with George for a multigenerational family trip and had a wonderful experience! George is a fabulous tour guide, and we so appreciated the personal stories and the time he took with us each individually! George was able to bring Clava Cairns alive through his stories, and we were also able to fully explore and learn the history of Culloden and Castle Urquhart, and to top it all off, we had a yummy lunch and stop at the Great Glen distillery to sample (and purchase!) the best gin in the Highlands! 10 out of 10 recommend.

We couldn’t have had a better guide than George! He was so accommodating, and very knowledgeable!!! He taught us so much! He’s a true Scot! His enthusiasm for his country and heritage is truly a beautiful thing we won’t soon forget! Highly recommend!!!

We loved all of it! Sarah made sure all four of us saw something important to us. She went over and beyond what we expected! We loved the history, the stories and the soecial places she showed us. She listened to what each of ua liked and made aure we all were getting the best tour possible.

Our fabulous tour guide was George, a local who intimately knows the area. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. We loved the small tour group experience! Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, he took the time for us to experience special things, like when we were able to “ meet a Highland cow.” Not to be missed!!!

Great tour! We loved Alistair. He was so kind and thoughtful. We was knowledgeable on facts about all the places we went. We stopped for lunch a place that had some hairy coos so that was fun and unexpected.
