Amazing tour with Brian that covered the history of Kenya the traditions of the individual tribes, the origin of the Swahili language. Walled around the government buildings and distinctive sights of the city. With a last stop at a lovely Cafe for lunch, Coffee, tea and delicious pastries.

There is apparently nothing to see in Nairobi. It was a walk around the block, stopping at places where there was nothing to see to explain to us that smoking is prohibited in the street.

The meeting place was a little confusing, but I did catch up with daniel. One other person on tour with me. We walked around the center of the city that is mostly governmental and business. It is not residential at all. The buildings were not all that interesting to look at, but they did bring up things for us to talk about and things for me to learn about nairobi, Kenya, and lifestyle here. We saw the site of the 1998 US Embassy bombing, statues of some of the freedom fighters who helped to free Kenya from British colonialism, and we talked about dowries and marriages, etc. Talked about children and the culture. I thought it was a very good orientation to nairobi and Kenya, although, perhaps, not a very representative sampling of the city? Nevertheless, recommend.

Nairobi is a city where you basically will visit the gubernamental buildings, so I lack a bit of history
