Visit the very first Makgeolli brewery open to the public in Seoul. We brew the gold medal winning Makgeolli(Best makgeolli of 2023) using grandmother's recipes we meticulously researched. However, it doesn't stop there and we use AI technology to deepen our understanding of Makgeolli which we were not able to understand in depth due to lack of scientific advancement in the industry.

Honestly, this didn’t feel like much of an experience. I realize that this is a “self-guided” tour, but the effort from the employees seemed pretty minimal. They basically just poured me 2 glasses of different makgeoli and gave me a QR code to scan to read a slideshow about the history and production process, and then left me alone to figure it out. The makgeoli is good, but I’m not sure I would do this again or recommend it to others.

A great experience - we really enjoyed the setting of the brewery. The tasting itself was very interesting, especially the contrast of flavours between the different types - definitely a worthwhile experience!

Makgeolli here is very good and the overall experience with Sam even better! Did a 3-week girls’ trip to South Korea in June 2023 and chose this tour as my friend spoke so highly of Sam. Great opportunity to learn about the process to make makgeolli and various types in Korea. You also have the opportunity to purchase some to take with you. Great opportunity for a self-guided tour and enjoy the tasting!

Really enjoyed this tour, a lot more than I expected. And the product, wow so amazing! One of the samplings immediately had everyone touring at the time wanting to buy. Just some of us couldn't as we didn't have the luggage space to travel with. Looking forward to going again!

We went there with friends (3 girls) because we tried makgeolli in korea and thought it was great and wanted to try and find out more. The brewery was a totally great experience. Unlike the local restaurants and bars we've been to before, this was a totally classy ambience and unique experience. We sat at the bar and received information about the production and tasted the wine on the side. The bartender was very helpful and answered our questions. We tasted 2 great makgeolli and were even able to try the clear version. Sam, the host, was very helpful beforehand and afterwards with tips and requests via what’s app. He even gave tips for bars and restaurant to try.

Spring Breeze Makgeolli Brewery is a cool spot. We tried four different types, and not only were the makgeollis good - we bought a bottle to bring home and share with friends, the bar itself had a great vibe. Learning about the history and process of making makgeolli was bonus.

Sam is a super host. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the makgeolli making process. The makgeolli was tasty and I had a great experience trying it for the 1st time. The brewery and bar had a good vibe as well.

Sam is absolutely the best tour guide/host I’ve ever experienced. I have done several tours and events with him and the most recent was at his Brewery. He served us Makegeolli and spent time explaining the history and the process. He is an amazing conversationalist and will personalize your experience. Wonderful tucked away brewery and makgeolli tasting in Seoul. Highly recommend dropping by for samples and especially going for the most expensive bottle (which is still very reasonable) - you won't regret it and it will change the way you think about makgeolli forever!

Great experience! Highly recommend while in Seoul. The makgeolli is so good I brought several bottles for friends and my wife. I also think the brewery interior design is great, that alone is worth a trip to Spring Breeze.
