Our guide Danh made this already fantastic experience even better. He shared an abundance of knowledge and information with us and is truly a nice person who deeply cares about his country and culture (and also has a great sense of humor). Additionally, he speaks excellent English. This tour offers a genuine insight into the real Vietnam and its river people.

Our tour guide, Danh, provided us with an incredible experience visiting the Mekong Delta. We had the chance to taste local fruits on a floating boat, explore the floating markets, and observe various rice preparations. We enjoyed a bike ride through the local fruit orchards before stopping for lunch, where we made spring rolls and pancakes and had a delicious meal made from local ingredients. After lunch, we strolled around the community while others went kayaking on the river. Danh was extremely well-organized, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Highly recommended!

An extremely expensive experience for what it was. The overview mentioned we would be back by 5pm but we were back at 2pm! The guide had basic historic knowledge and we didn’t connect. He was kind but quite uninspiring. The car was comfortable but air con was too cold and instead of lowering the air con the guide and driver seemed to make fun of the fact that we were cold. Best part of this experience was the cycling tour in the village, that is exactly the only thing that made the trip worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed that. The floating market was a cringy touristic experience. The market doesn’t function for the locals anymore, so they only run it for tourists and there weren’t many boats (at least at the time that we arrived, around 7-7:30). Lunch was more than we expected, and ok taste-wise, the fried fish was interesting but we were unpleasantly surprised that we were charged extra for the 2 beers we drank! That’s ridiculous if you think that we paid 135€ each for this. We were happy to experience the village but generally it really wasn’t worth it. We’re sorry to have to leave a bad review but we must be honest.

This tour was worth every penny! We left our hotel around 4:30 am and arrived at the market by 6:45 am - early enough to experience the market while it was still bustling. Our tour guide Max was incredible! We had some noodles for breakfast and then were welcomed onto one of the houseboats for some fresh fruit and tea. The bike ride along the canal gives you a taste of the rural village experience. The lunch was one of the best meals we’ve had! We made it back to Saigon early and beat the big tour bus traffic. This is the only way to go experience the delta if you are limited on time but still want an authentic experience. 10/10 would recommend!
