It was very disappointing. Tour guide was too hard to understand. Too much information given too rapidly.
This was our first booking with Viator
I will never book again.
A lot of money for a mediocre tour. I could have done a tour by myself & seen just as much

Our tour guide was such a good storyteller and in an extremely crowded space made sure we could hear and see the sights.

Turned up 15 mins before skip the line time slot over 50 mins later still waiting outside for our English speaking guide together with many others with no sense of organisation eventually sadly gave up and left and did under own steam .

The tour started badly for us as didn't realise we needed a negative swab within 48 hours of tour so we were 12hours out of time. However... they pointed us in direction of a 15 min testing station and waited for us. Noted few reviews saying tours had left without them. They waited for others too and even made it possible to get people to catch us up so they do try hard. The tour itself brilliant. Overwhelming amount of stuff to see. 15 min in the Cistine Chapel actually was enough time at fist I thought might not be enough but it is. So amount brilliant

If you are a history buff or would like to learn more about the Vatican then I recommend taking this tour and requesting Marcius as your guide. Marcius was so knowledgeable about the Vatican and its history. We were there for a couple of hours but felt like we saw all the Vatican had to offer.

Our guide, Azzura Mancini, was awesome!! She kept our kids interested through out but I feel tour could have been better organized e.g Directions where to meet should have been better. We long with 1 other couple were running around frantically asking people about our tour company. Similarly price point was higher for this tour compared to other companies offering same. It was crowded (not tour's fault) and despite paying for expedited entry, we still had to wait some time before we could enter. Sistine Chapel was packed too

Our guide Simone was excellent and so knowledgeable. We saw so much in the 3 hours. Only drawback was the crowds. It was quite scary at times. This has nothing to do with the tour but down to the Vatican not keeping tours to a manageable size. At times you could not move and if someone had taken ill I don’t know how they could have coped. However I am so glad I saw the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica. This is a fantastic tour.

Renata was an amazing guide. She knew so much information and made this tour very enjoyable. I know this tour says it’s 3 hours, but we were lucky enough to see a little extra and the 3 1/2 hour tour felt like it was over so quickly. We loved it and would highly recommend this tour and ask for Renata.
