Sonoma County Wine Segway Tour

We took this Sonoma County Wine Segway Tour on a Monday; very little tourism in Sonoma, so everything was wide open and accommodating. James was our tour guide and instructor for the tour. James seemed a bit nervous and "young" to be guiding our tour, but I was sadly mistaken on his abilities and expertise. After about 10 minutes of "start-up" instructional exercises, we were riding around an empty parking lot and our Segway driving confidence was intact for the tour. Several stops in downtown Sonoma for some historical perspective, driving through some gorgeous neighborhoods and onto a vineyard for a tasting, food, and time to relax was all part of the experience. James did a great job, lots of knowledge, and we were very satisfied with the tour.

Cool experience! I've forgotten how fun it is to drive a segway and it seems like the right kind vehicle for such a tour! It really let's you enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. James is really knowledgeable and a cool guy to hang out with.

Touring Thru Downtown Sonoma and seeing beautiful neighbors. And Buena Vista Winery was a delightful experience. James was so patient and knowledgeable. We appreciate him!

The tour was overall good. We enjoyed our guide who was a local and made the trip fun. Segways ran fine and all the vineyards were lovely. I was disappointed in the cheese shop. Years ago when I did this tour you were able to tour the shop, now it’s just a quick visit in the main lobby.

The price is high and still requires you to pay for the tasting at the vineyards.

The segway excursion from Sonoma that I was able to take these last few days was magnificent. Our guide was absolutely perfect: he took the time to thoroughly explain the history of Sonoma and California, then expertly led us to two splendid vineyards where we could taste the excellent wines of this region. A lunch break was planned, and the packed lunch was absolutely delicious! On the way back, a cheese tasting break was organized: the program for this activity is just absolutely perfect. The weather was also magnificent: it was a real pleasure to be able to ride a segway around Sonoma. I highly recommend this activity. Well done and thank you for everything!

A very memorable way to spend our anniversary!! We loved learning how to use the segways and felt like pros by the end of the trip! Pace felt super laid back. We loved the entire experience!

We always wanted to try out a Segway and couldn't have chosen a better place to do just that. John, our guide was great and so pleasant to talk to. We visited Buena Vista winery which was amazing and had very tasty sandwiches and pasta salad for lunch. The wines at Buena Vista were wonderful and we'll definitely be back to check out more of the property grounds and drink wine!

Wish we could give more than 5 stars. Owner Gale is patient (giving Segway training) and so informative on Sonoma history and all the places in town we visited. This is much more than just a winery tour. Worth every penny!
