I'm so glad we decided to go with Carey Tours for our family trip to Mexico. Initially I was weary because there are so many scams out there, but we booked it and hoped for the best. We got so lucky to end up with Alex! He was very informative, went with our pace, and asked us where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see (sorry for all the pictures that we had to take Alex lol). We didn't feel rushed, he accomodated both my bf that doesn't speak Spanish and my dad that doesn't speak English. We were very comfortable the whole time (besides the heat, not his fault of course) and best of all - our tour didn't last 12+ hours like some others we had seen before booking this one! We got to the attractions like 30-40 min. before everyone else so we had both the pyramid and the cenote to ourselves for quite a while and that was just priceless in our opinion. Fully recommend!

This was an excellent experience. Our tour gude Alex went avobe and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Our group was debating if we should spend a bit less and go with a bigger group, but all of us are thankful we didnt and went with this private tour. We got to the pyramid site as soon as it opened, so basically the first ones in. When we got to the cenote, there's usually a lot of people, but this was not the case. It was only us!! The buffet was a veeery good buffet. Lots of typical plates from the region. The's a lot to eat!! I highly suggest considering going with a private tour if you want a more unique experience. 5/5 would tour with these folks again.

Fernando was amazing. He picked us up early at the hotel which was huge because we started our day at Chichen Itza right when they opened. It made for a completely unique experience. It meant that we were able to be in pictures not surrounded by crowds, and the heat was not too unbearable. He took us to a wonderful cenote And we had a local lunch at the hacienda on the property. He timed everything perfectly so that we arrived everywhere early, beat the crowd at the cenote, beat the crowd at lunch, and beat the crowd at the ruins Perhaps what made this most priceless is that he captured my whole family in pictures. Usually I would’ve had to have been the one to take the photos, but now I could be in them. He also staged them beautifully. I can’t thank him enough for the awesome tour!!. I would highly recommend a private tour such as this. It was well worth the money.

Our guide Ulises was welcoming, knowledgeable and paced our tour perfectly to our liking and he kept us engaged during the car rides and tours. I felt that he truly passionate about educating us on the history of Chichen Itza.

Our tour with Ulises was one that I would consider the gold standard of how a private tour should be. He was very knowledgeable and paced our tour perfectly so that it didn't feel rushed and kept us engaged. I felt that he really enjoyed and loved educating us on the history of Chichen Itza. I definitely felt like he always had our best interests in mind. We also were treated to an amazing lunch Selva Maya along with a swim in the Cenote Saamal. If you're looking for a taste of local Mexican cuisine and culture. I highly recommend them! I would tour with Ulises and Carey Tours again when we come back, 10/10!

If you’re in Cancun and are interested in seeing Chichen-Itza and a local cenote, look no further. We’ve booked tours through the hotels before, but I regret not finding Ulises and his company earlier. For just a little bit more money, you can save yourself so much time. Ulises arrived at our hotel at 6am sharp in a nice clean SUV. He safely drove us 2.5 hours to Chichen-Itza and we were one of the first few into the site. The photos we were able to take with no crowd was nothing short of amazing. His knowledge, passion and enthusiasm was non stop. 10/10
Next, the Lunch buffet at Selva Maya was amazing. Buffet options of freshly made local dishes were endless, and all tasted like it was made by grandmothers in a family kitchen!
Lastly, we took a dip in Samaal
cenote and even jumped off the 10ft platform multiple times. Again, the tour guide did his best, and succeeded in allowing us to experience it all with almost no crowds.
If you go through normal tours via big buses, you usually leave at 7am and return at 9:30pm. This is due to multiple stops and babysitting too many parties. No thanks! We left at 6am and returned back to our resort by 4pm.

Our tour was incredible. Ulysis was an amazing guide. He picked us up at our hotel, had us in line at each location just before they opened to avoid lines and crowds, and he had key insights knowledge about the culture/history. He was very knowledgeable and was a super fun tour guide. We had a blast with him.

Our guide Jhony was amazing and super informative. This was by far one of the best tours we have been on. Jhony took his time to explain the history of the site and answer our questions. The site was incredible and so worth seeing at least once in your lifetime! Afterwards we also had some amazing local food that was to die for!
10/10 would do a tour with Jhony and this company again!
