Meeting point from Monday to Saturday is at the Great Market Hall main entrance (1093 Budapest, Vámház krt. 1-3.) and on Sunday at Szimpla Kert entrance (Kazinczy u. 14, 1075)

Very characteristic and full of stalls where you can buy both souvenirs and more local objects, there are also many stalls selling meat/cured meats/fish for consumption at home.
Upstairs there are several places to eat, you will find practically only typical food, very good.
Slightly high prices, around €12/15 for the dish.

on the ground floor there are many food shops, especially fruit and meat shops, on the floor above there are repetitive shops and some places to eat. On the underground floor there is an Aldi supermarket and a fish and pickle department (3/4 side by side), probably because they are activities whose smells are intense and annoying for some.

Wonderful tour of the Great Market Hall in Budapest. We just had three groups take this tour in March and each of the tours was just fantastic. Kata was very knowledgeable about Hungarian cuisine and history. The stops for tastings were very well chosen -- such a wide variety of foods and such large tasting samples!
Strongly recommend this tour!!!
